world phone/service
🤭
okay. i'm currently a faithful verizon subscriber in the seattle market and have been for years because of their superior service over all other carriers (yes, i've tried them all!). my only gripe with verizon is the usual and main one that people complain about; them having the WORST selection of phones in the whole industry. i'm sure verizon knows this but probably doesn't give a sh*t. anyways, i travel a lot and thought it would be nice to take my mobile with me as i travel but guess what?! verizon is useless international! what are my options guys? i don't wanna drop verizon as my primary carrier and loathe the idea of signing on with another carrier like cingular just so i can take it with me. any input on whether cdma wi...

Verizon has international service through votofone. You have to order the phone through the web site. I think the min is a one year contract, and the min phone is a nokia for 150 comes with a sim card and some mins. If you go to verizonwireless.com and select international traveler it will give you all the details. Hope that helps 😁

it is my understanding that verizon has in the works one phone that will be cdma and out of the usa gsm only compatible. once that does happen then it will not be long for most verizon phones to be so equiped. so will end the problem of having to have 2 phones or to rent one when you leave the country.

Samsung is developing the A790, a CDMA/GSM combo phone, CDMA 800/1900 for here and GSM 900/1800 for overseas, expect to pay big for it, it will likely be a low volume unit. Hopefully it will be out this year, HTH
