Question about 30 day test drive

I was thinking of joining VZW because I want the Blackberry Storm!!!!

I had tried VZW about 6 months ago but returned the LG dare within 3 days because for some reason the only service that works in my home or office is Alltel. (we have 8 Lines with them now) I am in a heavily populated area and many towers around me. I wondered if it was the LG brand of phone and that the Blackberry will get a better signal. I am using a BB Curve now with Alltel (but again I am dying for the Storm)

I wondered what it means if you return a phone after 3 days but before 30 days test drive is up why do you have to port the number to another carrier does that mean essentially after 3 days you must honor the contract for 2 years?

Where are you getting the 3 days from?

The 30 day worry free guarantee allows you to get service with vzw and return or exchange (allowed only once) within 30 days. If you return the phone then you will only be responsible for the amount of days you have service plus applicable usage charges and taxes.

The 30 day test drive is the same as above except if you port your # out "we pay for the calls you make." Meaning you will be responsible for usage charges (411, downloads, any addtional monthly feature- I.e: insurance, text plans) plus taxes.

Also, you have to return the equipment within 30 days with all applicable accessories, box, etc within 30 days to get credit for the early termination fee; therefore not locked into a 1 or 2 y...

The reason I asked is because the sales person was in a whirlwind trying to wait on several people and I heard 3 days and 30 days and port out the number and she just kept running around between myself and someone else and also on the phone with one of the verizon offices.

Now I totally understand and thank you for clarifying
