i'm probably going to switch to verizon to get the storm but my question is this....do blackberries have a history of having good battery life?

i also heard that this phone will only come with 1 gig of memory.....if i don't use it as an mp3 player how long of a video can i take? will i be able to send pictures to other people's phones? the iphone won't let me do that and it SUCKS!

thanks!

Battery life:
Decent. Some people go days. Some people go a day.

I don't typically hear of anyone getting less than a day of life. I personally get three or four days on my Curve.

Since the Storm hasn't come out, who knows for sure, though.

True, the phone comes with 1GB of internal memory, but it also comes with a pre-installed 8GB Micro-SD card, so I don't think you need to worry much there. I use an 8GB card and have yet to really scratch it past 2GB.

Not sure on the video. I would imagine that would be dictated by free memory, as it is with many phones.

Why wouldn't you be able to send pictures to other phones? Only a small number of phones don't.

A lot of what you ask will be answered with the phone rele...

yeah, well, the iphone sucks, so im not surprised you couldnt do that 🙂

Blackberrries have pretty good battery life, but like others have said, it really just depends on how much you use your phone.

I charge my phone every single night. Its usually just about dead by then. I get about 100 texts/emails and send about 100/text emails per day, plus another 30-45 minutes talking.

The storm does have a pretty large battery tho, so it should last atleast a full 24 hrs of heavy use.

I have always used a clamshell. I am interested in the storm because of all that it does. I am wondering how BB's are as a phone? Do you get used to holding a rectangle to your face vs a clam shell. Also, call clarity, volume, etc... thanks!

hold a curve is fine, i actually think its a little more comfy that some flips.

Call clarity is a little iffy on the 8830, but its much improved on the curve. I have never had an issue, nor has anyone told me they couldnt hear me clearly

Ear piece volume is good for me, and ringers are very loud in the curve.

Hope this helps.
