Ok so many people I know that have the Curve are having the same problem. I am sure this has been mentioned before but I cant find anything about it. Anyway my Verizon Curve sometimes has no sound, the person I am calling can hear me fine but I cant hear anything. I have also heard that this may be tied to getting MMS messages. Anyway I am on my second Curve and and still getting the same thing, how do I fix this problem??

I have plenty of times, still have the problem. Verizon knows about the problem but has done nothing about it. WTF

Reload the OS onto your phone from the VZW website. If you need help with that, a verizon tech support rep should be able to help, or somebody from RIM.

Instead of saying "vzw has done nothing about it" you can do some research instead.

OS 4.5 is coming out real soon and it'll address that issue, as well as add HTML email capability.

VZW is currently in the process of approving the software release, give it 2-3 weeks.

My curve gets dead audio too, but I'm not sweating it. A fix is on the way.

Yeah it's not VZW's fault they dont make the software for the phones. Its a known issue with the Curve soft reset is a temp fix for the issue. Be patient, wait for verizon to approve the software from RIM and you'll be good. Employees and all alike are dealing with it

Blackberry (though I love them) has not fixed this problem fast enough. I had it happen to me a couple of times. I'm not sure what causes it but only an OS update will fix it since it is not hardware that is an issue here. Flashing the same software on it probably won't help though.

Even though it only happened one time to me I downloaded the "softreset" application (google it, it's free). This let's you reboot your blackberry without pulling off the battery to fix this issue when it occurs and also in case you need to reboot after uninstalling/installing an app.

You don't need an app to do that. Hold down alt, right shift, and delete at the same time--that'll give you a safe reset as well.

There IS an OS update on it's way. Soon.
