Employee Benefits

Hey guys, I have a question for the employees. My stint with Comcast has been less that desirable and I really do miss the wireless industry. I had a question regarding the health benefits for VZW, because even though Communistcast is a pretty crappy company they do have great benefits.

Any information or insight relating to this matter would be greatly appreciated.

They are great. On our insurance you can have a baby for $20, no really. A guy I work with paid $20 for the office visit to confirm his wife was pregnant and that was all he paid. PERIOD.

They allow same sex health care. Dental, although its not really any better than anyone else's. Optical, its VSP. And all the other stuff you would expect.

Which provider (in your region at least) does VZW use for medical and dental?

Oh and what are the employee phone lines plans like? I've read/heard horror stories about them basically being consumer plan with a discount and that upgrading or adjusting plans is a nightmare.

401k matched dollar for dollar up to 6% of your pay. Pre tax and post tax options. Depending on your job, up to 8% of your salary paid as a bonus every Feb.

Employee plans are consumer plans with a discount. Phones are generally more expensive than what consumers pay, though. New phones, such as the Voyager, Storm, etc. are usually held until consumer demand subsides before employees have the option to buy. Changing plans isn't too bad. Just learn to manage your own account online and talk to employee accounts the way you want your customers to talk to you, and you'll be fine.
