Corporate stores can issue credits with the possible exception of using the get it now billing system. Unfortunately some just don't want to deal with billing issues, though the same can be said about some C.S. reps.

NO it is NOT true. Corporate stores can do just about ANYTHING customer care can do, and SHOULD!!

Non-management corp. reps have NO credit allowance. We have to go to management with the issue and ask for a credit. So technically, we cannot issue a credit by ourselves, management has to get involved.

I couldn't credit a penny if I wanted to, I have to take the case to management and do some convincing.

Stupid. There used to be a $50 thresh hold, but they took it away from us. We're not trusted to make the decision ourselves.

Also, isn't the "credit" done in the form of an order, thus causing it to not apply toward the existing balance? I'm pretty sure that it only shows up on the next invoice. Still, I agree that stores should do the credits with management if they're responsible for what's requiring the credit to be made.

The same goes for assisting the customer whenever they're in a store. I really don't care for those "I'm in one of your stores right now..." calls. 🙄

Life sucks, we all have our crosses to bear.

As a sales rep, I have to escalate ANY credit issue up to my manager.
