For many many various reasons we are *considering* leaving Verizon to go over to Sprint...PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not treat this as a "Sprint Sucks!" or whatever thread...I just have a simple question for those Verizon folks out there. If my wife and I are on a family plan, my line primary her line is an addon, would we then only have to pay one cancellation fee? Or would each line on the family plan have a cancellation fee?

Thanks!

I know you said you didnt want us to treat this as a "Sprint Sucks!" or whatever thread, but I have to tell you honestly, sprint kind of does suck.

If you decide to switch, do yourself a favor and dont port your number over until you have tried it and are sure it works. that will save you the hassle of having to port back over.

This I know. . . Thanks...

I know several folks with Sprint, all seem to be pretty happy with them.

On Verizon, I know I can do the unlimited plans for $150/month...But, A) they aren't truly unlimited (some features are still bolt on, navigation etc) and B) they are 50% more than Sprints unlimited which really is everything unlimted.

Also, I switched our 2 phones to the VZW unlimited plans LAST MONTH when our family plan bill of 3,000 minutes which we hadn't gone over in months came in at well over $500 (our business is seasonal)...I just got the endless spiel about how we can check our usage anytime yadda yadda yadda...In our business we're WAY TOO BUSY to even THINK about "oh, better check our minutes the billing cycle is half w...

You have always been paying one month in advance; since your very 1st bill. It is nothing new; however I do agree with you that the rep who did the price plan change should have reminded you of the month in advance charge. VZW isnt the only carrier who charges the month in advance; I am sure Sprint does so as well. Keep calm the next bill should be much lower.

$500 for 2 lines on the unlimited plan seems a little high; you may have been charged for pro-rated mins if the price plan change was done "on demand" instead of future dated or backdated.

The problem lies in that if you went to the store to make the price plan change they are unbl to backdate or future date the change so that its effective as of the start of your cycle. Its...

Many stores can future and back date features and plans. In fact, I have never been in one that couldn't

I am a contractor and I can even do it. Anyone using e*ROES or whatever corporate uses (netstar?) can future or back date.

If that were true why I am I constantly having to re-rate bills for customers who go to stores and a price plan change or a feat change is done on demand and not backdated or future dated? Does it have to do with commissions? If its fut dated do you not get paid untill the new plan or feat goes into effect?

I am a happy VZW customer whose wife is a happy Sprint customer.

Given your circumstances, I'd ignore the anti-Sprint hoopla and give it a shot.

My wife only has trouble when we travel to certain areas, but in Orange County, CA, Sprint is quite good.

I wish they were a threat to VZW so my bills would go down!

No, I am not holding my breath on that one.

You have time to make a HUGE rant aout your bills but you don't have a minute and a half to check minutes?

Shenanigans.

It's not about the time, it's about actually having to think "oh, I should check my minutes"

If I'm using a provider who's billing practices/fees/prices drive me to check my minutes on a regular basis then I'm using the wrong provider.

Thank you for contributing to my point.
