The Carlsons own most of the shares of USCC & TDS Metrocom, and they're not willing to sell their shares of the company. So until that happens, USCC won't be bought out.

By takeover you mean buy? That's a big deal...I doubt after the alltel buy that vzw would make that big of move. Would it be great? Yes it would be awesome if that happened I hope it does but I do not think its probable. I won't say never though

Yeah I meant to say BUY not really take over. Although its becoming like good ole Verizon is doing the hostile takeover of the wireless world. Its not a bad thing though. I like it! 😈 😈

Actually Rev A is at about 80% launched. If Rev A was fully launched then wouldnt we already see the new PTT phones?

You've got it a little backwards. EVDO covers 80% of the countries population while the entire signal is broadcasted at rev A speeds. Basically, EVDO is 100% REV A, but the signal itself only covers 80% of the population. If you see evdo reception bars on your phone, you are accessing data at rev A speeds.
