I would say no to all of your questions. Verizon is going to continue selling their lineup of phones. Eventually the Alltel stores will become Verizon stores and sell Verizon phones. Existing customers will probably continue using their current phones with their current UI. The indicator on the phone will probably be changed on the network to eventually say Verizon Wireless rather than Alltel or whatever it says now.

They may have some type of upgrade plan in place eventually for people on Alltel phone to switch to a Verizon phone so they can take advantage of the featuers like Get It Now that their phones don't have and won't be able to do.
