Unhappy with the Glyde's touch screen software update soon?
Don't wait for a software update, because you have no idea if it will even address the touchscreen, get a new phone now while you're still within your 30 day trial.
Cwcanty, what other phones would you suggest? I heard Verizon was getting the palm centro...what are you thoughts about this phone?
Jack
it really depends on what your looking for in a phone. I love my curve right now, and I think blackberry makes some of the best smartphones for overall stability and ease of use.
The centro should be a pretty solid device. I have used the phone a little bit, but it was the sprint version that my friend had. I like the phone and the form factor (except for the tiny keys). I read that the verizon centro was supposed to be less buggy than the 755p, but who knows with Palm.
I'm not a fan. I've accepted the fact that the best touch-screen based phone is the Apple iPhone. Until something rivals it, I am going all buttons.
I'll stick to my curve 🙂
I am thinking of getting something like the palm centro after Verizon gets it. My question is, will I have to sign up to a data package or can I just use it without it; since I wont be using it to its full capacity?

Cwcanty, I went on with the voyager after exchanging the glyde with 1 day of use. I was tired of the flip phones so I went with the voyager.

You do not have to sign up for the data package (although the device would be $50-$100 more expensive than advertised if you don't get it). However, you will be charged per MB if you incur any data transferring. To put a complete halt on it, I'd advise blocking the internet.
