The Env2 lists "Premium Pricing Compatible" as a feature on the phones page of the VZW website. What does this mean?

can you use a phone on the premium plan as a modem for a pc? My wife has a blackberry that she pays extra to "tether" the phone for internet access. Does anyone know if the Env2 or the new Glyde or Dare will have this and what the cost is?

The tethering option will be there, but you will be looking at at $59.99 for doing so.

The tethering option adds up to $60, depending upon the combination you're using for get there; for a corp. server BB with VZW, you're forking over $45 for the 5gb package; the tethering pack would just be $15 on top of that. if you're using the newer package for personal use that's $30, the tethering would be $30 on top of that; for an EVDO capable phone, with Vcast, tethering would be $45 on top of the $15 you're paying for Vcast.

dude... NO matter what DATA package you are on for your phone.. whether it be the blackberry 29.99 or the unlimited pda 44.99, or the new 29.99... your Connect cost will ALWAYS make the total cost 59.99 for 5gb... so if you have the blackberry 29.99 data/email plan your connect fee is going to cost you an additional 30 bucks.... funny how that adds up to 59.99 huh?

Absolutly not... i have the flyer sitting right in front of me and BBA connect when added to an unlimited email/web plan for a blackberry is $30 for 5GB... The only way BBA connect is 15 bucks is if you're on a 44.99 unlimited data plan

Let me help clear this up. B4 the $30 BB plan came around the only tether option was $15. this worked fine because $45+$15 = $60. However poor training on the new plan and the new combonations, created a few account mistakes. I know for a fact that many customers were signed up with the $30 +$15 tether package. My account rep says if these accounts are found they will either removed the feature or change the plan up to $30. However, the policy is $30 BB web and email plan, with $$30 tether plan.

It never went down. The $29.99 web/email plan has a tether cost of $30. The $44.99 plan has a cost of $15. If somebody presented it to you otherwise, they were misinformed.
