Please tell me why Verizon expects people to pay there bill on time but when it comes to verizon giving you the customer money back for a return it takes for ever. 😡 Exampl.

I returned a phone to Verizon by fedex and on Jan9th it was signed for at there return place.

they told me they would credit my credit card since that is how I paid for it once I got it. (They looked it up to verify) and now today it is the 17th at 4:00 in the afternoon and I still have no credit to my credit card account. I can see this live since I work at the place my card is issued. What gives.

I can go to walmart and return something and have a credit the next day.

Thanks for your info

I believe it at this point. If it doesn't happen before my bill drops I am going to call thm and cancel with out an ETF. This is crazy because I am going to have the charge they placed on my VZW bill for the other phone and no credit for the one I returned. I would have over $600.00 out there

Several times and they give me the run around. I was told by one rep to call back on Tuesday which I did to her then she was a B**ch on the phone telling me that I haven't given enough time to get it processed??? It is not rocket science. Sure I admit they have tons of phones problably coming in but that is not my problem get a bigger return department if that is the case.

Do you think calling in to "b*tch" makes it get refunded faster? CSRs don't even refund the price of the phones. You're a cell phone customer, you should have some patience by now.

Its how the warehouse manages its inventory. They receive it, but they need to scan in and verify the ran and crap. If you have the return tracking, order # and location code and its been returned to the warehouse, then customer care can research the order to expedite the process a bit. Better yet, for those to "try" the phones out, once the tracking # shows returned call and have them research it so it gets refunded quicker!

Done that trust me That is how I know it was signed for on the 9th of Jan. Plus I even got a copy of the signed return to warehouse and it has not helped one bit. I want to strangle someone there.

This does not get the phone refunded any faster. It still takes the same amount of time as any other normal procedure. The only way this helps is if there is a question about whether or not a phone has been actually returned or not.

That's not always an option. Not all phones are carried in stores (like the Flipshot). There aren't corporate stores everywhere either. I actually just moved about a week ago, but before that, I wasn't within an hour of a corporate store for several years in several different locations. It's not always as easy as just "going into a store." If you're going to get a refund to a credit card, it shouldn't take more than a few days at most.

yeah i relize that, I have the voyager, ordered it online so I see your point, but working in a store I can't stand when someone comes in yelling at me for issues they had with the 1800 number or online. Or trying to return crap they bought online. That is my only point, If you don't want to help your local store then don't go in there for help when you have an issue, we don't get paid to help. With that said I help everyone, especially if you are my customer, but I have been doing this a long time and have been around long enough to see stores close simply because people only went there with issues but bought all their phones at walmart/online/1800 number. Then they drive 30 more minutes to my store and stand there and yell about how unfair...

I don't know about other agents but we can usually order just about any phone thats out.. I don't know where you live but I can count more agents and corporate stores near my house than I can starbucks.. And that damn place is everywhere. It actually sucks because there are to many stores, I couldn't imagine having none anywhere close.

You can call your credit card company and they will suspend the charge. Temporarily, you won't be responsible for suspended charge nor will you be charged interest. This will allow time for the credit to come through.

it takes 6 to 8 weeks for an order to be refunded to your cc if you purchase it online, thru cs, or telesales. it even says that in the literature of the order. there is no point to keep on calling its not going to help. yes we can submit a form to the warehouse but it is still up to them. CS CANNOT MAKE THE CREDIT GO THRU ANY FASTER

maybe that is an issue that the powers that be should look at. I had the same issue as an employee when i returned a handset. They can charge it in a New York minute, but over 30 day s to credit. That process should be improved. I agree with the OP.

well when you have to small kids and it is freezing outside and the store is not close. The rep told meonthe phone it would be no difference if I returned it to the store or him thru the mail I would get my credit once they get the phone. that is why it went through the mail to them. So take your smiley a place it somewhere else 😈

Oh I love these kinds of customers. If it was summer it would have been too hot to take your kids outside. Enough with the excuses already.

Its going to take up to two billing cycles, deal with it.

I don't understand why people constantly complain about their wireless carrier, when it happens in most business. When you return anything on a credit card it takes time for the return to be processed and credited to your account. Granted it doesn't take too long usually, but it will sometimes cross billing cycles.

It doesn't take 30+ days for Wal-Mart (or any other retailer) to return a charge to your credit card.

I feel your pain. I just went through that process myself. It was two phones and an accessory. I called them 3 or 4 times in a month, but it showed up on my second bill. It takes a while, but it will get credited.

Part of the problem is that when you are calling in it isnt that the reps dont want to help you, it is that they cant. If the account it noted by the warehouse that the refund was processed there is nothing we can do. I have sent requests for refunds for cases that the customer said it had been over a month and they didnt see the refund on their credit card yet and the reply was always "refund was processed on ". When I check with supervisors they say all we can do is wait.

While I am sure someone in VZW knows how the process works, they arent telling customer service. Customer service doesnt have a way to know for sure it was done, doesnt have a way to report it if it wasnt done and doesnt have a time frame for how long it should take.

Because they just wanted to make you upset and have you call in multiple times.

No, it is really because it takes up to two billing cycles to get it refunded correctly because 10,000s of people return their phones everyday.
