Verizon doesn't get charged for roaming???
Have a question for the VZW reps. Do ya'll have a current package plan being sold that offers some sort of no roaming fees? I work for sprint and i was with some friends that have verizon and we were talking about how when verizon roams in a part of our town, they don't get charged for it. I argued the point pretty heavily cause I thought I saw that you guys charge 69 cents domestic roaming. Well at least i see that on the brochures. Two of my buddies were pretty adamant about that.

They may be referring to extended network, where they are "roaming" on a tower that is not owned by VZW, but still part of the network.
Or they may have a singlerate plan which has not roaming charges whatsoever.

You are likely correct on the first count, as to what they meant, and definitely correct on the second. The Nationwide SingleRate plan has NO roaming whatsoever, but it's pretty pricey, from $35 for 150 anytime minutes to $300 for 3000 anytime, 1000 Weekend minutes are available for $10, no nights available. It's mostly intended for truckers & the like, or businesses that have people out in the boonies a lot, like oilfield companies. It is available to the general public, though...

But the Singlerate plan is on the VZW website. So anybody should be able to find it if they wish.
