Poor quantity of Voyager and Venus...

My question is what is the reasoning behind the lack of these super hyped up phones? As an indirect agent, I have yet to get a voyager into any of my 5 stores and have had 10 venuses since they've been out. What is Verizon really trying to do with this? I understand the hype is building and people are standing at my door each morning waiting for these phones, but the phones are no where to be found. We have 3 corporate stores within reasonable travel distance, we've called them, they're saying they're out until the 15th, but you can still order and have the phone delivered. However, you can go online or call telesales and they'll have you a phone in 2 business days. Where's the love for the indirects? somebody obviously has these phon...

As an indirect we are all considered the "red-headed stepchildren" of Verizon. Although the Venus & Voyager situation is a little unique, I can't say that I am that surprised. I have tried contacting our LG rep and all I got was a corporate answer saying that after they deliver the phones Verizon decides where they get distributed. Also, make sure you don't forget about the new Samsung Flip-Shot that they are keeping exclusive online until late January, except for the red version that Circuit City gets.

I've had the same problem only I have yet to order any Venuses! If their warehouse keeps running out of them, them get more for the warehouse! I wouldn't be surprised if I never get any before Christmas!

not to pick, but if you're still selling VZ for RS, you KNOW that you get the pickings let from the more established, "hi we didn't dump you nationally" indirects. not hatin', just sayin'.

I think that our office manager saw that there were 54 available, and spent our load of cash on that.

That's so not fair. We were trying since 7AM. Then we got wind to check at 9:30. It disappeared at 9:30. Then we refreshed non-stop until 11:00. Then after 10 the site totally crashed. I refreshed and the second it came up and I went to Voyagers they were back but already gone.

yeah, Stinks sometimes. Not sure what area you're in, all the corp. lacations around here are out and/or on back order. Myself, guess i got lucky. All of our stores are pretty well loaded on both. I have 8 voyagers (out of 20) and 5 venus' (out of 10) left from the shipment I received last wedensday. I know other stores that have more. All of our stores locally are pretty well hooked up. We have a pretty good stock at any one time of most phones. If we need something, shoot our IC person an email and most of the time...ask and you shall receive. We have some good ones going to bat for us. I know the feeling....Frustrating, to say the least.

our office manager was in the same boat; she saw it up there, then saw them take it down, then went back in, and presto! win some, lose some, sorry you didn't get a cut.

I think it's done on purpose. Probably for Commission reasons. Online they don't have to pay anyone commissions.

I have the opposite experience. Makes some calls and have them ship you some. Keep track of how many people are coming in specifically for that phone, and how many people are walking because of the lack of that phone.....they understand the numbers. It's your money to loose.....I pre-ordered 20 from our IC person and have gotten two other orders

Who do you make calls to? What is an IC person? I would think if it was possible to get them our account manager would be telling us how?

It does make me feel a little better knowing that direct is also getting screwed out of the Voyager but as soon as there are some available all the direct locations will get some before the indirects even have a chance to order any, which really sucks too. When the Voyagers were supposed to be available the website was so overloaded that we couldn't even get in and when we finally did they were all gone but we were able to order 75 Venus'.

You can't call telesales or order the phone online and get it in two business days.

Dfill is out but is sending the phones out as we get them in stock in the order that the order was received. It's guaranteed to be there on or before the 15th, but we telling customers not to expect them in two business days.
