Everyone can relax now and pre-order their pearls today. Even better is the new data rate, 29.99 does not include messaging. 😁 🙂

My bf waited so long for this to come out. His FT plan of four lines is on AT&T now. Loving his Curve...

Obviously he should have waited longer cause there is NOTHING that would get me to switch to that crap network!

Yawn. Beach, stop being such a... Beach. Your 'Tokyo Rose' imitation is so old and tired. And no, I wouldn't even wipe my ass with ATT's network, or GSM in general. Thanks. 🙄

The new rate plan was suppose to be $20 and not $30. What a shame. At least if it offered enterprise it would still be better then the $45 which you still have to pay.

Where does it say anything on the website about data being $30?

All I see is option to have it with texting or without, and then you choose your minutes.

Data seems to bundled in, right?

The 29.99 data package is unlimited, includes text/pic messaging also. It is a good deal for a consumer not using this for business. It was never going to be 20 dollars, it is 29.99 matching sprint's new rate the big difference is we will have coverage to use ours. Data is not bundled in. On the same page as the options to get text messaging packages it will ask you to select a data plan, either the new one or old 45 dollar one, that is where you select this option.

Before I confuse my self and all of you, originally I was told messaging was not included in the new data package. In the last hour I was told by my rep that the basic messaging package is included but no unlimited in messaging. This is what I have been told but like always, this is verizon and when something is new no one knows what the hell is going on.

Is there really no way to get the BB Pearl and not get a data plan? I only want the ability to sync with Outlook but don't care about email, web ,etc. So I definitely don't want to spend the extra $30/month

If you do the Email and Messaging plan it includes the unlimited text but if you do just the Email plan text is not included. The basic plan is $39.99/mo for 450 min, with the BB email added on it is $79.99/mo, if you add the unlimited text plan (basically making it a select plan with the BB email/web package) it is $99.99/mo.

It's 50 bucks for unlm texts and email service for the pop3 email account...thats what it looks like it is to me

I think the "included services" just means what the phone is capable of.

It is confusing...but it would be a small miracle for verizon to give away unlm text and email for 30 bucks.

Who wouldnt get a BB!! You would be getting unlm data for basically $10. That would be a great deal and would compete with Sprints new plans. But I just dont think thats vzw's style.

looks like it, but what you have the link to is all the business plans. The way it seems to be structured is you pay $79.99/mo for 450 anytime min then you can change your plan to include unlimited text/pix/flix for an additional $20/mo.

You post is missing what the meaning of the little 4 is next to the text/pix section:

4 15¢ per text message sent or received (including messages to and from wireless customers in Canada, Mexico, and Puerto Rico). International Text Messaging is 15¢ per message received and 25¢ per message sent. Send and receive pictures and videos for 25¢ per message.
