"unlocked sprint phones"

Let's see. All I am, reading is that you can now take your sprint phone to verizon and/or alltell. My question is, just because you have the info to program the phone for the other network, who SAYS THE OTHER NETWORK WILL ALLOW IT? The outcome of the lawsuit was to allow sprint customers to take there phones and use on other networks, I haven't read anything stating that verizon/alltell had to accept the phones.

Yeah I wonder how that's going to play out. and don't bother to try to get your phone serviced or try to use vzw or alltel only features.

They will just have a phone to talk on.

Your right, nothing says the other carrier has to let you use the phone. The lawsuit just is making sprint unlock the phones so it can be done. I highly doubt VZW would ever allow it would prevent customer service from being able to help the customer with phone issues. VZW is selling a package deal, so there are very few things that can happen that VZW can not assist with. VZW tries to keep referals to the manufacturers a low as they can to make sure quality of service is maintained. If someone was using a phone that the phone/store rep had no information on there is almost nothing they can do to help if something goes wrong.
