I've been waiting for the 6800 to be released so I can port over from AT&T. Now AT&T has come out with the Tilt! I haven't even got the 6800 and it's already outdated! 🙄

compare the 8925 and the 8525 and you will see this:

Slightly smaller
10% better talk time
75% better standby time
double the internal memory
GPS added
HSDPA upgraded from 1.8 to 3.6
camera upgraded from 2mp to 3mp

sounds like a good upgrade to me

The "Tilt" is the HTC Kaiser/TyTN II which has been available for over a month. It's a great device. So the Tilt will be great too.

Well, in the Tilt's defense, it adds a 3 megapixel camera and built in gps. Both of those are significant improvements, and yes Verizon is behind in that arena.

I agree. I would rather get the Tilt. How long do you think it'll take Verizon to get it???

The 6800 hasn't even been released yet, so I give it 9 months.

9 months? Haha yeah right! The 6800 was announced 9 months ago. There isn't even a CDMA Tilt in the works, and I don't expect one to be for a while.

Olde VZW has really been pushing the consumer end lately, and slacking on the corporate level.

Except for the 8830 the only new Corporate phone is the G'Zone type S PTT, and soon to be camera-less G'Zone. They pulled back the Treo755p, the 5800/6800, the i760 failed testing(they still coulda pushed it and released the update in Dec. if you ask me.)

Or is it just me? Just a thought.

But the 6800 IS Rev.A, it's the i760 & 7550 that were still Rev.0.

It's funny how people waited and waited for a 6800 all because people on some forum said it was coming soon. The valuable lesson is that do not believe what people post when it comes to phone models or dates since most of them don't even work in the cell phone industry

Only reason I wanted the 6800 is because I'm with Cingular right now and want to port. They"ve had the phone for some time. I didn't even know this fotum existed until I asked for the phone at Verizon.

I guess you never knew GSM receives phones first. 🙄

Knew that too. Japan doesn't seem to have problems getting new phones and they are on their own system. Guessing what I know or don't know is presumptive on your part and irrelevant to my point. My point is simply that by the time Verizon gets the 6800, it's already obsolite! Hmmm

That's because people in Japan spend more money on phones 😛
