Wait for a few days. There seems to be a lot of advertising for 4 phones being released. It's weird though because they're not in InfoCenter, and my rep hasn't heard anything about them either. They may be released. If they are, they're pretty kick ass phones.

Is GSM roaming the reason you switched to at&t? If you get the Blackberry 8830, you can have the best of both worlds. CDMA when it's available and GSM as backup when it's not. Hurray!

If you don't want that phone, there are CDMA/GSM phones coming soon like the Z6c RIZR (not the Z6tv which is coming soon)

just an FYI the 8830 is NOT a quadband GSM phone, therefore the only GSM frequencies it supports are used outside of the united states (aka GSM 900/GSM 1800 whereas american gsm networks use GSM 800/GSM 1900)...so you can't roam on an american GSM network with this device...but personally i have this phone and i love it....and as of now it is SIM locked to Vodafone...i haven't heard of an unlocking solution yet, but its possible it has already been unlocked, i just don't know for sure.

Yeah, it's been unlocked. Check out the forums on crackberry.com. I can't remember if they explain how to do it, but it's been done.

I wonder if the Z6c will be similar in terms of GSM/CDMA coverage or will it be useful in the US as well. If so, can it be unlocked and how? That would be the best both worlds, CDMA/GSM.

The Z6c phone will only work on the CDMA networks in the US and on GSM outside of the US.
