Please help. This is my last resort. Hopefully, a Verizon tech with brains can give me some ideas. I am a 20 years customer that has been very happy with verizon(wish better phone choices). Here is the problem: I have lived in the same place for 9 years always with verizon and no recpetion problems. I use just my Treo 700w cell for all calls at home (my home line is for tivo and telemarketers). No problems for 9 years and have had same treo for more than a year. All of the sudden in June starting when I get home on Friday afternoon/evenings, I do not get cell reception at my house. No calls in or out. One or two power bars if at all, but no calls through. Phone just says "dialing" and hangs up. I am out of cell service at home until M...

i dont work for verizon...just want to help out.... do you powercycle your phone often??? its adviceable that you shut your phone off and power it back on every once in a while to reregister your phone to your network, if it still doesnt work try to remove your battery while the phone is on, then remove sim card and clean it with a lint free cloth, then reassemble and try to check if your phone would have signal, if not, call verizon's warranty and have a replacement phone sent out

the treo 700 has a sim card?

are you sure that you work for the company? and if you do, who is your supervisor so I can recommend to them that you go back to initial wireless...

You are not alone with sudden reception issues. We have had 2 trouble tickets started with no help in the matter.
We are forced to try another carrier to see if that makes a difference.
My friend in Buffalo NY also said he can no longer use his VZW phone where he lives....

Well VZW?

Very strange. Out of the ordinary reception issues are also popping up in Indiana.

It really could be a number of things, you might have dropped your phone just right and screwed something up internally, they could have been messing with the towers in your area and shut one off or is temporarly outta service.

But if your friends are able to make phone calls in your house and your not, that is strange.

I dont really have any advide except you can have your phone calls fordwarded from your cell to your house while its not working, also try to stay on top of the techs and just keep calling in over and over.

Good luck.

Call and get up as high in the food chain as you can, and bring up the facts (again)that
1)Coverage was perfect for 9 years,
2)Other folks have no problems at your house,
3)Tech support 'did something' that worked and it worked for ## days and has stopped again..

Do you have another phone that you could activate and try when your Treo doesn't work?

There could be a factor that the particular site you are near gets saturated with calls on fridays and weekends (with all the free weekend calling) but network folks would be able to tell that.

Keep at them.
