Info about verizon
I live in New Mexico and have had alltel for a year now. No complaints so far. I recently came into a job where turn by turn directions is a must to have. Another employee has verizon and was showing me the other day that he can put an address in his phone and it would tell him turn by turn directions to the address he typed in. Was he just using a web site for this or a specific program though verizon?

its a program like telnav. Verizon sprint nextel have them. Its is pretty cool. But I prefer getting a GPS. Much better and more reliable!
...
telnav is not what it is called
its called VZNavigator, and it is MORE reliable than GPS people pay for to install in their cars, because the GPS systems in the cars require a clear view of the sky, no woods or clouds.....with VZNav you just need cell reception long enough to load up the directions.

Wombough, I know you like repling to posts and pretending you know what you are talking about, but why not at least look up the info before posting BS?

Its called VZ navigator, it gives you turn by turn directions on your cell phone, its $10 a month for unlimited use, it works great, just as good as a GPS unit in your car and a heck of a lot cheaper.
...
What phone would you use for this program?
...
Almost all of the phones have this, with the exception of the "el cheapo" phones.
...
LG9900, the enV...just because of the form factor.
Easier to see and manipulate.
...
agreed, or the 8300 because of the loud speakers.
...
I personally use the 8300 and LOVE it.
