okay, so say if you wanted to start a new 2 year contract w/ VZW. How old do you have to be? I'm 14, and kind of want to have my own line w/ my own phone, paying for it and everything. Is there some kind of age limit for you to have your own line? Or does an adult have to like look over it or something? 😳

What you can do is have your parents get it and put their names on it, but you can still pay for it (or really, just pay them cash every month and then they can write the check) and use the phone.

18. Good credit built up unless you want a huge deposit.

I would say ok credit. I don't think a score of 620 is good credit. And that is around the cut off for no deposit!

You can't sign a contract until you're 18, but you can set up a prepay account if you're 14. The phone would be under your name, and you could put money on it as you run out of minutes. It's a little more expensive, but you'd be able to do it.

Look into Verizon's Easy Pay and inPulse plans.

You can get any Verizon phone with INpulse or EasyPay. For INpusle, you have to pay full retail price though as opposed to a slight price break with INpulse packaged phones.

EasyPay pricing is the same as 1 yr contract pricing, which is usually $50 more than the 2 yr pricing.

The only reason for me to complain when being on a Verizon plan would be that right now, i'm on a t-mobile my faves plan. unlimited texting is an awesome dealio, it's just that the tmobile phones aren't so hot compared to the verizon phones. so verizon = good phones, but meh planes and no my faves and no unlimited texting, but tmobile = good plan w/ texting etc, but not really nice phones like verizon.

You like Verizon's phones? That's a first for this forum.

You get unlimited messaging on the Premium plans.

what's not to like about the new chocolate and the lg env? anyways, about the premium plans, the cheapeast is $80.00. I think I read somewhere that you just have to pay $10 extra to get unlimited messaging...or maybe that would be to other VZW phones, which wouldn't be handy for me. What should I do? Just buy another T-Mobile phone or go on Verizon? Best bet? The sidekick is lookin pretty nice.. ;)

Verizon locks down their phones with a standard UI and locks Bluetooth and general phone functionality so that you will buy their stupid Vcast things.

T-Mobile also has Nokias. 😲

I'm a major text fanatic though... and the En-V looks perfect. ;) oh, and it's small. what's so bad about that? T-Mobile doesn't really have those types of phones... do they?
