let me break it down for you....

-battery life is minimal....and only can be recharged before you have to spend more money on more batteries-and they are not CHEAP
-unsecured email access-I really don't wanna be sharing my emails thanks
-the price tag-enough said there
-a touch screen that appears to be tempremental

so you may "wonder" why VZW passed on this phone I can tell you we didn't want to give up our "rights" to promote the phone....also ever wonder why vzw is #2? well its not cause we merged with the orange blob and "bought" our customers we did it with hard work and time!

So go ahead and eat your fruit....see ya in a few months when it stops working and the hype has dyed down....

On the list of things that make a great music-capable phone, I don't think that "wait till you get home, boot up your PC and plug it in every time you want new songs" is too high up there. ;>

Honestly, I don't think a lot of those issues were known when Verizon turned it down. Apple probably had a basic idea of what they wanted to do then made based on whichever network it would use.

Verizon Wireless was formed by the merger of Bell Atlantic Mobile, Vodafone/Airtouch Cellular, GTE Wireless and PrimeCo. Most of their territory employs CDMA 1xRTT technology, in both the cellular and PCS bands, and 1xEV-DO (release 0) high-speed data technology in most metro areas.

No no...

Don't you see, it's a Mac, it doesn't matter what it does, you just have to have it.

I mean, look how stylish it is. Who cares if it can't do anything that you need a pda to do, it's got style.

That's all you need to know...

*Its not 3g. 80-110 kbps browsing vs 450-800 on rev a pdas.

*no removable battery

*touch screen only, not ideal for txting or emailing

*price, its overpriced

*cant download songs ota

*cant do picture/video messaging, only emails

*no stereo bluetooth

and the worst part: *AT&Ts network/customer service and tech support for 2 years.

I'm less excited about the iPhone than I am the other phones manufacturers come up with to compete with it.

it's just their first go at it.. they will probably fix a lot of things once they bring out a new edition like they do with the iPods every year or so..

i hope this makes other manufacturers step up there models! 🙂

I wouldn't consider a lack of features to be 'kinks' that need to be worked out for the next iteration of a device.
Step up their models? To the level of the iPhone? Exactly what world are you living in?
