Another Verizon question.... (billing & charges)

Does anyone know why they charge for detailed billing and to receive text messages? My current carrier doesn't, and I have been comparison shopping for a new carrier, and Verizon is the only one I have found that charges for those things. Does anyone know why??? Thanks!

Detailed billing can be viewed for free on-line. It's only charged for if you want printed on your paper bill.

I assume you can print off the detailed billing from the website? I like to have the record; I think because I am so used to having it from my other carrier. It's cool that they offer it online, but I still don't understand why no one else seems to charge to print it on your bill. 😕

Yes you can view printer friendly versions that will print right from the web.

Just didnt make sense to send detailed bills to everyone when some of them were 50-80 pages. Saves paper, saves cost, still available free on the web, and the people who never even looked at them arent wasting all that paper now.

Yeah, you have a really good point about the paper wasting - I never thought of that... I'm used to getting bills that are only a few pages, but I bet that tons of people would have HUGE detail list. I would much rather save a tree!! 😉

Plus the more $$ Verizon Wireless saves, the more towers they can build 🙂
