still thinking of switching to verizon.....does the LG 8700 have a problem displaying caller ID with that weird shaped external display? also is the keypad solid? the razrs always have loose keypads ☹️ thanks!

Yeah, it has a solid keypad. As far as the caller ID goes, it's not that easy to see if you're in the sunlight. Similar to the Samsung a930

i meant because the external display is so skinny....also are the speakers and sound quality as good as the maxx? especially for having music as a ringer

I haven't seen one activated. Only played with a demo, but I popped my memory card in it, and the sound for the music end of it is almost as good as the enV

Sprint,

just go play with the phone in person...all these threads are totally unecessary. The only way to tell if you want the phone is just play with them for a little bit, hold em, make a test call, whateva u need to do. Then you can make an informed decision.

These threads might help a little, but ultimately, its your call man and you need to make the decision for yourself

Check out the reviews on this website as well. They are much more in depth than replies to threads.

I would choose the 8700 over the maxx. its a solid and sexy phone.
