I just held the blackberry 8830
One of my costumers got it through his corporate account. He stopped by to do the phone book transfer. I couldn't do it because the phone is not listed in the cellebright. The phone is perfect size about the same thickness as the Q, but a little smaller, and a littler wider. I didn't get a chance to play around with it, but it looks sweet

i think her comment may have been one of a sarcastic nature referring to the fact that it is a Cellebrite machine not a Cellebright machine....just a guess.

Well... I just accidentally came across the 8830 at my local Circuit City. In my humble opinion, the only thing it lacks is a touch screen and 2 megapixel camera. I onlyt had it for 45 seconds though. It reminded me of the Q, but sexier.

no, there is no upgrade so far for the machine to include the 8830. I hope it'll be available soon

Haven't seen a real model yet, but from what I can see with the display model, it's sexy as all get out! The marketing display is queer though. It's big, bulky, and looks like the phone. Even has a giant navigation button you can press, and the thing talks! I'm not putting that up, kids would be constantly hitting that. Thanks for the demo's RIM, but the talking cardboard box???? You can have that back!

I personally think it's very cool. The trackball Nav rocks, I think. Very smooth and quick. Someone had mentioned it's like a laptop touchpad but it's way better than that. Made it very easy to get around. It felt very solid and I dig that. I hate when a phone has the 'empty shell' feeling so I like this cuz it feels rock solid. Interface was easy to get around on. Keypad was tight but not bad. Then again, I dont mind the keypad on my U740...

i feel the same way, no camera is a con but thats why I have a 5MP digital camera. Heck my phone just a year ago didnt have a camera so i can do it again.. im seriously considering the BB 8803 for my NE2 next june.
