Any recent news about the G'zOne Type-S?
My NE2 is up and just before I got the type-V I was reading that the type-S is coming out to replace it and I was just wondering if anybody heard when it was going to come out. When I looked at phones on the Verison website it said "while supplies last" next to the type-V.

I think I can wait. They are still selling the type-V outright for $399 do you think this price will go down when the new one hits?

I contacted Verizon about Type-S, as I just bought Type-V for my "new every 2" their reply was:

I asked the guy who helped me activate this phone and he said the phone is only 3 months old so he doubts a newer version will be released anytime soon and he has not seen any new versions come through for testing, guess we'll see. I saw the picture for type s and I personally think type v looks better.

I only have 2 complaints VERY minor... the red bars, wish you could change the colors and very little game options, now I'm not a huge play games on my phone person, but a few puzzle games to pass the time here and there are nice. I'm sure the longer the phone is out the more they'll add though.

It's pretty sweet looking. I'm excited but to me the screen looks smaller and not as sharp (maybe it's because they don't have a cool background on it). Think I'm trying to say is it doesn't look as flashy as it is on other sites. Hopefully it's a photoshop overlay. I just saw this on engadget.com
I emailed casio, and got this response.

(1 week ago) I stopped in to my local Verizon store the other day and inquired on the 'Type S.' The salesman had not heard about it, but he checked the computer and said that it is due to be released in about a month and a half, meaning middle of May. He also confirmed that it was going to have bluetooth and that the 'Type V' was being discontinued.
Obviously, I was surprised that he would tell me this and that it was even in their computer since generally from what everyone says Verizon doesn't reveal much before it happens.
As I drove away from the store, I realized I should have asked him to print out a spec sheet. As helpful as he was being, he probably would have done so if it was available to him. Perhaps one of you can try...

Guy your looking at this all wrong if you're considering purchasing the G'zOneTS , you don't do it because it has 2mg camera...its not a multimedia phone/MP3 player 😕 ... you buy it because you need a phone that wil withstand harsh conditions.
go for the maxx leave the MILL spec phones for those that really need them!
O and fyi the 2meg camera on the type-v is nothing special
