Why would you want to switch from the 8300 (great phone) to a KRZR (krappy phone)?

And I don't think you can since it is a prepaid ESN. Anyone correct me if I'm wrong.

I used to be able to switch prepaid and post-paid esn's, but around the new year, there was increasing difficulty in doing so. Last I knew, we couldn't.

From what I gather, there is an automatic block on the ESN for EasyPay accounts so that the ESN must remain active on EasyPay for 6 months before it can be changed to a post-pay account

Unless you get it at Wal-Mart or somewhere like that you're going to have to pay a $35 activation fee on the EasyPay plus the first month of $50. Then you're going to have to get the account cancelled before the ESN will be free to go on another account. So you'll either waste all that money or have to wait until it runs out. In the end I don't think it would save you anything. Also, I don't think I've seen the K1m in a prepay version so I doubt Wal-Mart or anywhere would have them. Even then a prepay phone won't work on EasyPay, only contract phones. So yeah... a lot to think about. You might as well just pay retail. It would be easier and probably the same money in the end.
