If i buy a wireless card with a data plan and use it for about 7 days, and then return it, about how much is that going to cost me? And is it going to be a pain in the ass with the 2 yr agreements and what not?

going to cali for vacation so just curious.

thanks.

Great question;

It will be prorated depending on how much the service cost. You also have to take into account you might have to pay that activation fee.

If its $60 per month regularly and you use 7 days it would be around $13.51 without taxes being added. It is about $1.93 per day without including taxes.

If its $50 per month regularly and you use 7 days it would be around $11.69 without taxes being added. It is about $1.67 per day without including taxes.

(You also have to adjust accordingly the number of days in the month.)

What do you mean if it is going to be a pain? If you return it within the allotted time, you will be fine just paying the fees you incurred including taxes.

most likely i won't be easy, your taking advantage of verizons trial period here i think if your planning on returning it before you even buy it. the trial is design for you to determine if you like it not rent it out for 7 days, just cause your taking a vacation. most likely you'll be purchasing from a commision based sales rep who when you return it wont want to lose commision, not a pleasant expierience. think restocking fees.

no restocking fees at a Corp store...

Not very ethical, but that's your call, not mine.

Kinda like women that buy a dress on Friday for an event on Saturday and returning it on Monday. It's done al the time, but not on the up-and-up.

But you would only be charged the prorates charges...

what phone do you have. You might be better served by purchasing a mok and doing a tether feature. Those can be added and removed at any time.

I agree with the idea that it isn't morally correct to purchase something knowing you are just going to take it back...so you bought with no intention of keeping that product. That is wrong and costs others...

If I activate an aircard and someone returns it, Verizon Wireless will not honor the warranty to the next user. So, essentially, I am out the cost of that aircard.

I'm not going to be pulling off this "trick", I was just curious. However, if i was going to I would do it through the corp store and I would tell them what i plan on doing so they dont get their hopes up.

anyway, thanks for the advice on the mok, forgot about that.
