Samsung u740 voice-to-text
The u740 has a decent little voice to text option under text messaging inputs. You train it for your voice fairly quickly and it will type your text message for you as you speak. I have used it a few times already on my u740

Watchman, I am looking at this phone b/c I want a thin phone but I like the idea of the Qwery keypad.
I don't like the clock display on the front screen. Can this be changed to a digital display?

yes it can be changed! I played around with the one we had. The only question I would have is long term durability. Also reception. Samsung historically hasnt done well with internal antennas...

Damn you Samsung! You have a cool little phone with a keyboard, 2.0 MP camera, and Voice to Text but you can't put a freaking lens cover over the camera?

Are you looking at the U740? The camera is 1.3, not 2.0. I WISH it was 2.0 but it's too much for these manufacturers to put all the features you want into ONE phone!! 🙄

My bad, yes I meant 1.3. I was thinking of the enV and it's lens cover and 2.0 MP camera.

this option SUCKS. i trained it in store i work at by doing the 122 word sequence and i tried making a few texts before i gave up. it recognized probably 10% of the words and there was a large lag time between each one.I just dont think that the technology loaded into the phone (VoiceMode) is very good. oh well i wasn't going to buy it anyway.
