Shout out for the Best Cell phone company
By the way I've just had a few minutes to glance around on here, but seems like there is a lot of negativety out there about US Cellular. I just wanted to say I have been in the cell phone business for 5 years, I have worked agent and retail and also for Alltel. I love MY JOB, i have a boss that really listens to me, a schedule that is soo flexible-I have never had to miss anything i wanted to get off for. I work with a sales staff that is HONEST. I work for a company that actually cares about work-life balance. I sell competitive plans, great phones, get paid great, have great benefits and work with a staff that is like my family. in any company, there is good and bad. there are the diligent workers, and the greedy ones. that's life. glad to know your experiences have been good. mine were as well, up to a certain point, which i mostly take blame for, but not for others' actions, which were completely unprofessional.

I don't work for USCC, I'm an agent, I work for myself. I do however, represent USCC, and I'm proud to do so. I've never seen a cell company work with their customers the way USCC will even when the problems are the customer's fault. The price plans are fair, they are working hard on being competitive with phones and it seems to me, that most of the people who work for the company are good people who are willing to go as far as they can for customers and agents. I'm also a RadioShack dealer, and between the two companies, I would choose to be full time USCC any day before I would work for RS. He'll die down soon. I like our policies and plans better than any other company that I know about. It's a solid company, that often errs on the side of caution a little too much, or errs on the side of the customer. You can't fault them for that, much.

the alltel job thoughts were simply because it would have meant more money, which, by the way, i quit pursuing because i just couldn't stand the thought of working for such awful service.

I've worked for a company that sold Suncom, Cingular, Nextel, US Cellular then switched from US Cellular to Alltel so after 3 months of hardly no sells I left for US Cellular and am now a manager for them. In my area in NC it's the best by far and I can actually believe in what I sell. I can't speak for other parts of the country but in NC i'd put my phone up against and other carrier.
