Blackberry vs Smartphone

Okay, we have an issue down here in my neck of the woods. Its time for a local business to renew their phones, but they are really, really happy with the phones they have, go figure. They have Kyocera 7135's and except for the inability to access EasyEdge, they love the incorporation of a phone with a pda. The only choice they have now for a similar phone is the Blackberry, and it's not PalmOS, which they are adamant about, it can't edit documents without additional cost and alterations, and they can't get the Blackberry without the Blackberry Service for $40 a month. The email isn't important anymore since they have had no email access from their phone for over 18 months, they are used to it, and don't see a reason to pay $40 bucks a mo...

I love my 6255 I only had one problem with it and they fixed it, so I'm pretty happy so far. I like it so much better than the razr.

It's a little quirky, but it's my first mp3 player, I love quality of the video. It takes better pictures than the Razr, it takes better video and longer video than the Razr, and it does computer interface easier than Razr or any other phone we have right now. It's a great phone, I just hope the new Nokias continue this trend. It's a little boxy, but tough as nails. I like it. But it won't do what my business people here in town want it to do, mostly word docs and such.

I wouldn't call a treo more advanced. We just want a phone that runs palm os, and works as a phone. Always on email is an extra.

um, I can tell you that Treo's won't be offred for a while. they require a piece of "middleware" to make the phone work and we don't have the ability to service that yet.
don't know when the next smart phone will come out - might be a while.
