Hi everyone! I've heard good things about us cellular and was wondering if anyone here could recommend a plan or phone for me. I have cingular right now, but want to transfer my phone to a cheaper plan. I'm paying around $70 a month for only 900 minutes i think. They don't even have a store close to me. So i want to switch over ASAP to something better. Any suggestions? How's the service in WV? I'll still go to WI occasionally to visit my family (only holidays), anyone know what us cellular service is like in WI? Thanks for your time everyone, I appreciate it!! 😁

So i'm guessing you want national plan right? for $40 a month you get 800 minutes, includes M2M and free INC coming calls as long as your in the local area. If you are out of the local area it will just come off your minutes. We also have $45 for 1500 minutes, but this plan only has free call me minutes.

So it all depends opn you, how's the coverage in wisconsin? Haven't had any complaints yet! We can transfer your number over from cingular. We can't use the phone you have since we run CDMA.

You can try us out and see how you like it w/ the 30 day trail. You only end up paying what you used basically. And if you don't like the service, you can cancel within the 30days.

That is not the price for the mid-east. : )
its $50 per month for that and you have to choose between free incoming and M2M.

To be specific, whether you're on a nationwide plan, or a local plan, M2M, N/W, & free incoming calls are only good in your local calling area. Say you're in the Midwest and travel to the east coast, only the anytime minutes apply outside of the local area. For nationwide plans, I can't see why M2M, N/W, & free incoming calls can't work in other USCC markets. I know someone on a national plan in the Chicago market, but the additional features won't work outside of the midwest on USCC network.

Well that won't change in July, but other things will that will make us hyper competitive especially with Verizon. We don't compete with Verizon down here. They aren't licsenced in OK yet.

Well, I looked around at some cell companies' websites & it does look like us cellular has the best deal in my area. Are the prices the same online as at the store, or do you guys have better deals if I go into a store? Do I have to go to the store to transfer my number over? Can I still keep my same number from WI? Thanks for all your help! 😁

The deals are pretty much the same except for some agent stores also have their own promotions for phones. I'm not sure if you can port your number thru the internet, you might have to go to a store for that. Also a store can transfer your contacts from your old phone to the new one.

Where in wisconsin do you live?

I do know gurnee mills is close to wisconsin so you might want to try their. Let me give you a number for couple stores in that area, 847-856-1720
847-856-0154

Those are both in gurnee area...feel free to call them cause i'm sure they can answer or help you out with anything else you want to know.

Gurnee Illinois is part of the Chicago market. They run promotions that Wisconsin doesn't, and usually, Wisconsin USCC users get the shaft when the Chicago market gets the better deals. But I don't know if a USCC corporate store, or a USCC agent can help someone who doesn't live in the same market as the agent or corprate store does. I'm looking at USCC as my next service, should Verizon Wireless not work as well for me in the Milwaukee market, when I move up there. USCC is mainly cellular in Wisconsin while the Chicago market for USCC is PCS, and I live in NW Indiana, which USCC has yet to build out their network fully. Far South Lake County Indiana is still roaming, and because of that, I don't have them now since I would roam at leas...

if it is a WI number you would have to do the port in WI, and when you are in west virginia everytime someone from west virginia called you on their home phone it would be long distance for them.

I'd go to a store. In my experience the computer isn't very helpful in answering some questions. Person to person customers are generally happier about their service than computer customers.

Okay ladies & gents,

I think I'll just start a new phone number in WV so others calling me from around here aren't charged long distance. So since I have the day off, I was hoping the stores in the area are open & I can swing by today. Does anyone know if the stores are still open on Memorial Day? Thanks everybody!!!
