I know usc charges a equipment fee if you just do an ESN change, but for a contract renewal w/ equip. upgrade we don't... so i guess i can say i'm glad that's one less hassle for customers and less headaches for me 😁

that depends on the market, sometimes they do charge it on renewals, sometimes they do not, before when activation fees were waived, so were Equipment change fees, right now equipment change fees are waived on sharetalks, but still apply to the main line, in our market anyway.

things are usually different in chicago, but for the last couple of months we have had to charge equipment change fees on everything until the waived sharetalk started out here.

They let new markets, like STL and OKC, do all kinds of things they don't let the rest of us do. For example, free phones for thier customers that cost our customers $99, and waived activations, and different plans, and the list goes on and on. It's just a little more than slightly annoying considering that I have customers that are less than 10 minutes away from being in the right area code to get all the cool "New Market" promotions.

acutually the only time we waive it is if it's an insur. phn, loaner, and if the promo for your area says its waived.
The only slightly o.k part is that our fee is lower then the other companies but that doesn't make it any easier now does it....
