Dude, the 6255 is gonna kick all Qualcomm Rear, I had a motorola telephone, it just came back from repair... just decided to die, no water damage, no rough usage or neglect... just died. I take Nokia any day... besides, Razrs get crappy reception. and they don't have a built in mp3 player.

Couldn't care less about mp3 in a PHONE. Couldn't care less about a camera in a PHONE. I had the 6255i in my hands a while back. All the lights go out in 5 seconds. Period. No way to change it. No options on this. The sailsman called Nokia to try to figure out how to keep backlighting on 30 seconds or so. Can't do it. Some people won't care about this. Some will. As much as I am right there with chrtok, I have to agree about not caring for a camera in a phone. MP3 playing capability could be convenient sometimes if it's not so easy to carry my iPod, such as at work. The more important thing is the ability to use those MP3 and even better, AAC playing capabilities for ringtones. The backlight issue isn't a big deal for me because if it goes off, i figure you just hit a key and turn it back on. not the most elegant, but it works.

i work for uscellular. The phone isn't what its cracked up to be. They've been hyping this phone for months, but it feels cheap. The speaker phone sucks. It was a big let down to alot of our staff. Not what we were hoping for.

Hmmm....I got the exact opposite impression when I went to a large demonstration for the product. After the demonstrations we got to personally meet me the Nokia rep and discuss the phone and demonstrate it for about an hour.

I really like it. I don't especially care for camera phones myself, however, I really-really like the Bluetooth and infrared connectivity. The PC Suite software that Nokia offers free is awesome.

I am still really pumped up about the phone!

Like you, I have been waiting a long ass time for this phone. I haven't got a chance to hold the phone in person though and I think that it looks ugly but if it works well which Nokidas do, and it has an MP3 PLAYER..thats all that matters! 😁

Well I am really happy that USCC put out a phone that's worth wondering about. First Impression, Phone looks ugly and cheap.Good features I really like 4 minute video. but other than that... I expected more. I hope USCC is not gonna lockout every feature that even slightly threatens the use of EE... Price is 179$ with a 2 YEAR contract more than I want to pay when I can get GSM moto v360 for about same with 1 year (T-mobile)...

The 6255i is a piece of crap. What a waste. The testers should be fired. Bring on the RAZR.

I read on HowardForums that some stores should have them tomorrow. Of course, this is secondhand knowledge, so take it for what it is worth.

It will be in some stores on Friday and some prob on Monday. They are being shipped UPS, check with your local store for more info.

I called my local USCC's this morning. They finally received notice and should have the 6255i in their stores by the 22nd if not sooner. By the way I called more than one USCC just to make sure. Finally!!!

My USCC stores say they havn't gotten any new information. ☹️ ☹️ ☹️ They said all of the people back east will get them before we get them here on the west coast....

well, i think that as long as you are not in Southern Calfornia, Sacremento, Medford, Portland, Seattle, or Olympia, the west coast is great.... (poop).... i have to go to medford tomorrow...

i lived in seattle for some time but i am from los angeles. i was raised in sacramento for some time too when i was younger. All great place for me.

Now everyone can be happy. USC is getting the 6255i on the same day that Alltel is getting the RAZR. Any bets on sales? I say the RAZR sales outpace the 6255i sales by a ratio of at least 5 to 1. 😉

I have no bets because I'm not sure... but I do know that some people shop for calling plans, and not just the latest phone.

You are correct. If this were not true, then USCC would be out of business. It will cost me $10 more per month to have the same minutes/month with Alltel but it's worth it. Otherwise I'd be mad as HELLO every day for the next 6 months waiting for the USCC phone testers to release the RAZR. So, you pays yer money and you makes yer choices. It's a shame. I'd rather have stayed with USCC.

I have not been getting the "call-me" minutes cuz I've been going month-to-month w/o a contract. So now I'll be paying 49.99 instead of 39.99 for 1,000 minutes and nights&weekends and mobile to mobile.
Like I said, I'd rather have stuck with USCC but there's just too much incompetency in that organization in getting out phones. Tomorrow is gonna be a great day. At 9...

By the way. The reason I've been going month-to-month is that I wanted to sign a new contract along with the purchase of a new phone. Problem is, there STILL is no phone at USCC that grabs me. So I'd have to wait until they release the RAZR V3C. That will probably be next August.

Psh. I'd take the 6255 (and will be when i can afford it) over the RAZR any day. RAZR is a moto phone and well...i have standards.

To each his own. I could have the 6255i tomorrow for 1/3 the price of the RAZR but I prefer quality.
