An unmanned plane in lieu of cellular transmitters

I would tend to doubt it would be usefull in all but the most unusual circumstances.
In areas where there are no towers or where the towers have been damaged it would be useful but it looks like an expensive and risky alternative. When theses things run out of gas or are hit by lightning they are going to come down on somebody and that is a big bucks liability.
unmanned, reliability, and airplanes are not terms I would associate together. 😲

yeah im with WLS on this one. Its a nice idea on paper, but with widespread use, we'll see how the public feels about unmanned planes circling thier neighborhood 24/7. I can already see bubba from mississippi sitting on his roof with his huntin rifle shootin down them damn flyin machines.
