Nokia?
If a customer comes in and asks if we are anticipating a Nokia phone (or any manufacturer for that matter), I will tell the customer the truth.
With that being said, it is also our responsibility to mention that, just because the phone is currently in testing, it has the chance of failing.
This customer is not necessarily a lost cause. He/She has been with USCC for 8 years. Chances are, if the sales rep does their needs analysis appropriately, we can still find a phone that fits this customer's desires.
I wish that I didn't drop my Nokia from a 30ft ladder on to pavement (I am a Cable Tech). Any N series that USCC comes out with will be in my possession the day it comes out.
I have spoken to a regional manager for USCC about bringing back the Nokia but he had said that it was out of his hands entirely.
I appologise for the rant ... I just really miss a phone that I can count on an...

not always the "cool" phone in CDMA but reliable signal and battery life.
However from what I heard over Christmas it sounds like they may have private labeled their new CDMA phones. Who is supposed to be manufacturing them I don't know. I heard this through a relative that works for Agilent Technologies as an electrical engineer. I do believe this may be the case since the Nokia failed USCC testing which I was not expecting.
So I do question what the quality of any future Nokias will be and who is actually making them? Just thought I would share the info

next the rumor is nokia is not longer being made by nokia but by a 3rd party company and that could be a reason why they did not pass uscc testing. it has nothing to do with the branding of the devices.
