Here is the link to load WM 6.1 on the HTC Touch. It also has instructions for how to do it. If you haven't loaded software on a phone before you will want to read the instructions. If you dont follow them you can ruin your phone. If you follow the step by step instructions it is extremely easy process.

Things I like about 6.1...

Threaded SMS
The upgrade allows for Rev A data
Lots of small tweeks that improve the touch experience.
Email setup much easier and faster
Easier Bluetooth Setup
SMS and MMS in same folder

I updated to 6.1 three days ago and ever since my touch screen is not always reponding to me touching the screen and the nav button doesn't work half the time. When i reset my phone it fixes this for just a bit.. This happens about every other time I text. Also, I have only noticed it when i text and i text often so its annoying. Today, i reinstalled 6.1 and am already having the same issue. Anyone know what is going on?

Does anyone know why they haven't released an upgrade for the HTC 6800? That came out before the Touch.

From what I hear the 6800 is to far into its lifecycle and there are not too many of them out there. It also does not dramatically improve the phone. Threaded text messaging, getting started center, Rev. A data are all cool additions that 6.1 offers but thats about it. It fixes some quirks that 6.0 had but like previous posters have experienced 6.1 has querks as well. Having carried the 6800 as well I wouldnt worry about getting 6.1 because in my opinion its not that much different.
