To all USCC Bashers out there...

Wow- There are alot of retarded comments in here...

I think there is alot of animosity coming from ex-US Cellular employees in this forum that want to say that USC is going down simply because they got fired or had a bad experience at some point in time...

Let us get real about this company for a second than...

They are WAY better positioned than any provider for a slump in the economy. Their plans are the best value in the business (what with free incoming and all), and customers get more bang for their buck, hands down. This means:

A) Excellent retention
B) They will have growth from consumers that are looking to save money on their monthly phone bills.

USCC definately Rules! I can not imagine working for any other company. They have made some great changes to promote growth and retention. I have had the privelege of working in our Contract & Prepaid Customer Service as well as now getting my feet wet with Telesales. All within a years time. How awesome is that! Sure that is a whole lot of training time, but it is worth it! My goal is to learn our Welcome Que next.

Although I tend to prefer ATT and praise Verizon and T Mobile over USCC (and Sprint) because they tend to have a better phone selection and broader network, I see many upsides to US Cellular. For one, USCC tends to take care of their service areas, ensuring strong signal quality everywhere (excluding my town, of course, which gets two bars; but my area is well covered). Also, USCC's CDMA technology, although older puts out a much stronger signal than GSM, which can be helpful in rural areas where towers are few and far between. In fact, directly comparing ATT and USCC in my area (excluding my town) if there were low service areas, US Cellular tended to hang on to that last little bar for much longer than ATT which was quick to drop it once o...
