Pukers

There are many different names for the type of person who insists on making the worst of everything. I'm talking about the people who nitpick every little problem with something and are the first to lay blame on the creator and question their integrity. This is same kind of person who thinks that the world should be perfectly tailored to his or her concept of "what should be". They are often called pessimists, but my favorite term was coined by the sales great Jeffrey Gittomer. he calls them Pukers! Pukers take the most delicious of meals, enjoy it for a sitting, then shove their finger down their throat, spew a mess all over everybody around them--and will even blame the chef for that mess. The proverbial finger I speak of is your nega...

i know personally that i have talked to people at US Cellular who were semi high up, and i talked to them for about an hour one day like half a year ago, and nothing has been done about it. maybe you shouldn't go to a place that you don't enjoy and leave it for the people who do enjoy it 🙂

You "talked to people who were semi high up...for about an hour one day" Great start, no sarcasm intended. But,did you present them with reasons (backed up by facts) that your ideas are in the best interest of the company? Did you offer actual solutions to the problems that you have--a better way to do it. Did those solutions fit the needs of the entire company--not just on the sales floor, but on the back end? Do they still ensure that the company stays profitable? Do you truly understand everything that needs to be considered before changing a company the size of U.S. Cellular? Point being, there is absolutely nothing wrong with trying to change things for what you beleive to be the best. But also consider the situations and incent...

What is funny to me is how much time you and your type spend reading on this message board. You are lacking self respect. You are lacking regard. You are lacking a strong personal image. Which is why it is important for you to "check in " on how things are going in the real world. Which is why it is so important for you to "reach the top". Top of what? Power? Why is it important to be at the top, unless the top is better? If the top is better, which by the way I agree that it is, then the D.O. is a lie. Which, by the way, is.
I have a friend in our company who was promoted to Sales Manager several years ago. He told me that all leaders go to a meeting in Chicago and review our survey results. He told me that Jack asks every year for leaders...

I really wish you had more pride in your job! I work at an agent location and would LOVE to be making what you make. I love my job, but the pay at an agent location, isn't always to be desired of. Why don't you just do us, and all of US Cellular a favor a just quit! We don't need people working for the company that has no motivation and doesn't care about their job! You at a corporate location give Everyone at US Cellular a bad rap!

"the top" that I speak of is having a secure financial future for my family, great friends, and the pride of knowing that I provide a great service for the people I serve. My 'position within a wireless company' is nowhere near as relevant as the reasons I've been given that position. Your analysis is far from accuate, in fact It's dead wrong. Let me ask you, mike burwell, what it is that you do take pride in if not your career? You seem to take pride in your ability to make people agree with you about how 'oh so horrible' the company you work for is. But where has that gotten you? According to you, it has you sitting around waiting to be fired from your job.... yeah, that's much better than atleast making the most of that career--and...

Sounds like more corporate b.s. to me. Being a leader here is all based on the ability to "spin" everything into a specific direction. Like you just did. I place my pride in my faith and my family. Not my employer. We are not saving the world. We are not green peace or the humane society. Seems to me like your the one in the wrong job.
