Best quality phone at uscc

chipaul

I currently have the lg 5550 and have found that people I talk to do not hear me well. The sound drops near the end of sentences and can be slight choppy with a bit of an echo. I had read that the 5550 is a good phone. I travel throughout the Chicago downtown north side and have the same issue.

I like the phone plan I got so I don't want to switch. Can anyone share with me the best phone at USCC for quality? I don't care about any features I just need the best sound on the sending and receiving side possible.

Thanks

Honestly, I'd say the 5550. Sounds like you've got a bad phone- just take it back to where you purchased it and they should be able to send the phone in for repair for you! 😁

Thanks. I like the features and I really don't want to spend any more time researching. Is there a close second to it?

Well, I am impressed with the quality of sound on my Kyocera Soho (both sending and receiving), which I've had for about 2 months. I was especially surprised because it's considered to be a "low end" phone.

I haven't had personal experience with them, but the Nokias usually rate high for sound quality. There are two different ones available right now. I know that my old Nokias were great.

I wouldn't touch the 5550 with a 10-foot pole. We have them returned constantly. As far as customer satisfaction with sound quality we rarely, if ever, have a Motorola or Nokia returned.

Take my advice, change to a Motorola or Nokia. The Moto V262 is a nice little phone and the Nokia 6585 is also even money.

Wouldn't touch it with a 10-foot pole? That really surpises me. I work in the New England market, and the 5550 is one of the strongest phones we carry. Motorola, on the other hand, is a brand we can't rely on quite as much.

What am I waiting for? The phone survived the software issues this past summer. The new update performs beautifully. Good luck finding a used one - people hang on to this phone. 🙂

Wait for problems with the screen, and/or earpiece, and/or speaker.

The screen/speaker/earpiece problem was fixed over the summer. I have't seen any of these problems with the new handsets. Again I'll say it -- the LG 5550 is one of the strongest phones we carry 😁

I agree, the LG 5550 has been solid, if anyone asks which is the most dependable phone,
I suggest the LG 5550, some customers did have the screen issues, but thats why they were recalled last year. Since then we've had no problems. We were having so many problems last year with the Motorola T731s and C343s, that I steered customers away from the phones. The Motorola V262, 810, and 710 have not shown to be problematic, so Motorola may have cleaned up their act a bit. 🙄

Try the Motorola v810. Solid phone with a better display than the v262.

IMO the best phone we have to offer right now is going to be the Motorola 710. It's a little bigger, but it's packed with features, the sound quality is excellent, nice big display, plus I like the 1.3 megapixel camera. And the bluetooth capabilities. ANYhow, great phone!!!!! 😁

The USCC v710 is better than the Verizon version. Its a good phone, no doubt. But not everyone wants or needs all the bells and whistles. The point of the v810 is its not the v710. Its small, sleek, with a big screen.

I suppose that's true, I just felt like I was going to break the 810 at any minute.. to me it as just too small and flimsy.

What do you find flimsy on the v810?

First, I felt like the flip could break off at any second, literally. Esp. considering that one of my friends in the care center pretty much destroyed hers within 2 days. I'm just not crazy about that phone. Plus I don't like how long it takes for the phone to boot up. Plus it's just too dang small for me.

I agree the phone does not boot up quickly. Size is great for me -- but that's certainly a preference. I actually think the phone is quite sturdy. The hinge is not taut like the v60 Series but its not going to fall off and allows me to flip the phone open and close with one hand.

You're just not going to find a smaller phone with such a large screen. If size is the big issue, its not your phone. Build-quality, however, is better than any Motorola CDMA phone currently available.

Well, when it comes down to it, I would say it's at least 60% personal preferance, so.. all I know is I can't wait to get my own 710! 😁

Based on your comments, you should be quite happy with the v710. Great internal display. Its a good phone, just too big for me. Good luck!
