I will write a more detailed review after I have tested the phone.
I would consider it but it's a little more than I wanted to spend....maybe i'll go look at it next week. The mp3 compatibility is what pulls me toward it.
Uploading ringtones via USB has been disabled by USCC- they want you to use Easy Edge so they can make a buck off you. I suspect this is true of the V262 also.
You can add as many ringtones as you want via EE/Brew
As an aside Easy Edge is FREE for a month if you sign up. You can sign up under the pay as you go with no monthly fee and get 500KB of uploaded stuff (ringtones or pics) FREE FREE!
I just ripped a bunch of MP3's off some ringtone sites and plan to upload them via EE

MP3's cannot be set as ringtones
There are lots of ways to get samples. Walmart has 60 second mp3 intros of most of their records that you can use.
I have a program called Audio Record Wizard that allows me to record anything off the audio line chanel. Anything that I can hear I can record with it directly to .wav or mp3. That's how I got the samples on my hard drive.

Sorry, no such thing as an mp3 to midi converter. MIDI is "sheet music" for a soundcard's sample bank. wav/mp3 is music itself.
But this is new... A couple of years ago software with half the capabilities was around $300. Thanks.
To answer the image question, yes you can use the card to set images as wallpapers and so forth.
I must say though I'm really disappointed they disable the memory card ability to use ringtones. I was told they would not but still did. However using a data cable and 3rd party programs you can still upload MP3's to the phones memory.
Concerning Ringtone conversion, just head over to download.com and type MP3 Converter into the search feature. There are dozens of free programs you can download there that work great.
No offense, but if you knew how MIDI works, and what it is, you would do the search first to see that there aren't any free converters, or would at least assume that converting an MP3 to a MIDI using a software package (there is only one on download.com that does that, for $80) would be tricky business. You are misinforming people here while ignoring what is being said in previous posts.
Please, consider reading the following, and notice that there is no reference to "wav" and "mp3", because "MIDI is a method, not an object".
