T-Mobile vs. Sprint???

I am thinking of leaving Sprint for T-Mobile. I am at my wits end with Sprint's customer service. I will soon be living in the LA area. I was just hoping I could get an idea of T-Mobile as a company and their service. I know the customer service ranks high. Right now with Sprint I have a nationwide plan that I have had for years 750 mins for $38 + tax. I would essentially be going to T-Mobile and spending more for a plan, since I can't bear my Sprint price anywhere for nationwide. Please convince me to leave for T-Mobile or stay with Sprint. Thanks in advance.

How much do you call sprint. I mean in 7 years I had them I called maybe 20 times. Is it worth going to someone to pay more just so you can get great customer service for a few times you call. And then when you get that one from tmobile that is an ass because they all have those people your going to say why did I leave. I mean if you change for a price savings or quality issue then yeah go for it but customer service. Cmon. Give me cheap and good service and crappy CS then high prices and great CS. I always get charged I don't always call them.

you don't read no you do you don't comprehend. They changed my plan which in turn made my plan 60 more a month. So I choose to go to alltel to save money. Got that I do believe I said I would swithc to save money not for CS. They would not fix my issue either. So here is my laughing at you for not knowing what you are reading! 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

ok first of all i would like to say that i kinda liked you wombough for your previous answers in this forum but when i read that message on the link posted i was disappointed... lol. i know u don't give a crap but i just wanted to state my opinion on that lol..

ANYWAYS, going back to the subject.... PLEASE! CHANGE TO T-MOBILE.... I have worked for both companies and let me tell you.... I LOOOOVE T-MOBILE! I love the whole "Stick together" concept... i love their CS, i love that they train you to REALLY care for other people's issues... And if we're talking about money... you should definately consider MyFavs!!! It's a great way to save money... you get 5 numbers that you can call without having to use your anytime mins...you also have th...

Sprint never tells you when you sign up for service that if you use the browser u are charged $0.03 per KB. they don't tell u that even if you have the picture package, it uses the internet to transmit that file and you're still charged for internet usage!

That's why you sign up for a data package! If I were foolish enough to pay per KB, I'd be racking over $10,000 in data charges so far. And they do mention the $.03/KB w/o a data pack charge anywhere you could cause your phone to download files OTA. It isn't hidden at all!

if you must know, not all people are tech smart! those people don't know that when you send a picture message it uses the internet to send/receive the file!!!! people just think it's being charged as if it were a text message!!! so therefore it is hidden when the Sprint Reps. don't take the time to explain that to the cust.!

Why? Because I responded to someone that was trying to make me look like I am switching positions by posting something I said when I got rid of sprint to try and justify his response to me. When in fact he didn't read my post in the first place or he would have known that it wasn't CS that I canceled it over but an increase of about 60 a month.

I've been with them for 7 years and have called them prob 10 times. It's not a lot, but when I do call it is very difficult to get something done. I mean it all depends upon who you talk to and whether they woke up in a good mood or bad mood too I think. I do have service issues in some places, but it's tough for me to change right now I guess considering I'm living in Milwaukee and will be in LA in 2 weeks. Of course according to Sprint and T-Mobile's coverage maps they have, where I will be living in a few weeks has good service, but who knows til I get there. I definitely like the plan I have with Sprint, they gave me it as a retention plan before WNP a few years ago. And I even kept my Sprint phone when I worked Tech Support for US Cellu...

yeah when I was with them if I got a person that was in a bad mood I would just hang up and call back. It worked most of the time.

Priorities to consider-

1. coverage- customer service makes no difference if you can't get a decent signal where you need it.

2. features- plan, data, etc. I went with Sprint because of the data services years ago. I could have gotten Tmo for cheaper or stuck with AT&T for one more bar of signal, but neither had or has data services that compare.

3. customer service- I know customer service is going to be generally bad with most any company these days. I expect it.

Considering, that as an industry, wireless companies have the worst rated customer service out there..... I don't think it makes that much of a difference. From my experience, the ratio of good, hard-working csr's to the lazy, inept reps is very similar across the board. Take your sprint phone all over LA and see how the reception is. Consider getting a T-mob phone and using them side by side where you will use them and go from there. Best of luck.

I actually left T Mobile a few years back because they have one of the worst signals out there. I ended up switching to Sprint. While I can agree that care is not the best, the signal I have in most areas makes up for their lack of cc. What are the major reasons you are calling cc? If they are signal related, then you may consider looking around. I have been pretty pleased during my 4 years with Sprint. I would never go back to T Mobile, they just didn't work anywhere that I needed them too.

TMobile has three things going for them. MyFaves which is actually a cool concept, very good customer service, and CHEAP. The coverage is subpar at best especially in buildings. I live in an area of 100,000 people which is not huge but big enough, and I can tell you many, many buildings where there is no coverage with TMO. I work for them and still carry a Sprint phone for this reason. The Customer Care is good; I have worked for them all and I would rather talk to a TMO rep prob then any other. The plans are very reasonable, but personaly I will pay an extra $10 a month to have my phone actually WORK. I do know however that many people are cheap and if they have to go outside to make a call they will. In any case you have a 14 day t...

Yeah bigjerm, you should get the service with T-Mobile. tell you what... test them... call CC and ask them all kinds of things... be rude with them, ask them about signal and other things and then you'll see if they really care and if they resolve all your issues... i'm 99.99% sure that they will. Now, you said in your other messages that you've been having billing issues and that they call you to collect their money, but they don't give a sh** if they keep you as a cust. or not. Well.. you also know that cellphones are not perfect... so let's think about this....

I rather have a CS Team that gives a **** and will do anything to fix my problems and are nice when doing it, than having to deal with ****ty people who never fix my issues! Re...

Well they never to call me to collect money cuz its on time every month. But since I am familiar with the industry I prob will get a T-Mobile phone when I get there and use them side by side as recommended above. I have 15 days to try them without commitment...I'm assuming I would just have to pay a prorated charge for service for those days I have it. Always a tough decision these things, Sprint has just pissed me off quite a bit. As said in some of these posts they seem to care more about money coming in, of course not taking into account that if they continue to lose customers the money won't continue to roll in. They can keep trotting out Peyton Manning too (altho not sure if he's still the spokesperson), he's not keeping their business ...

My major reasons for calling them are mainly billing issues...and I am aware of how most people can not read a cell bill and always think they are right. But I worked for US Cellular for a few years as a CSR and Tech Support, so I know how it all goes. I don't like the fact that if my phone says roam I can not use my phone unless I want to pay roaming charges. Considering I get roaming charges in Milwaukee (in the city mind you), I shouldn't have to pay xtra for no roaming when I have a nationwide plan. I'm well aware that when these cell companies charge you .39/min (in my case) or .69/min that they are only being charged maybe .05/min by the other providers billing them for use of the cell site. I also have service issues here and there, b...

I wonder if your area is in an affiliate market. My aera was until recently and I hear alot of billing issues, and I think the problem is that the affiliates create their own plans (for example here roaming was not included even tho most other places it was) and then a customer calls 611 and the reps have no idea because of the plan the customer is on. I really do think things are going to turn around in the care dept, however it may take one to two years to see an effect....
