Can a Samsung T439 be used as a modem for dial-up internet?

I was wondering. If I bought a USB cable to go from my phone to my PC, and then downloaded the PC Studio software off of Samsung's website, could I use that program to make my phone a modem of sorts that I can use to dial in to my NetZero internet?

The reason I ask this is I want to drop my landline altogether, I just don't need it.

Also, would it be possible to set my local access number as one of my MyFaves?

If they offered DSL or FIOS in my area I wouldn't even consider all this...

As I recall, when I looked into this same possibility with my Nokia, the answer was no. However, I do remember in legacy Nokia PC Suite versions the ability to do what you're describing, although I never tried it out. Also, there may be operator-imposed restrictions somehow on this. Even though it would set you back some more cash, there is the new Tmo 3g modem available, which you could conceivably use on 2g Tmo networks as well.
