Upgrading Date

My plan says I am eligible for an early upgrade on 5/9/09. Is that set in stone? If I went to a store today (2 days earlier) to buy a iPhone, would they tell me I had to wait two more days? 😕

CS Reps

Why do CS reps make life so hard? All they wanna do is fight with you and not help the customer (I know, its not all of you, this is just a rant) Even though I dont work for COR I still sell att, were on the same team, we help the customer. Stop being stupid and start helping the customer or rep that calls in to help. ****, its not hard.

Add a line question?

If I add a line to my family talk plan and I DO NOT take any equipment from att, in other words I have my own phone. Will that new line have to have a contract or can it go month to month?

Out of Control Teenager

Hey folks...
I could use some direction. I have a 16 y/o son who went way over on his minutes and texts causing a large bill. I took his phone, put in a lock code and restricted his calls to only his phone book, so he can stay in touch with imediate family for emergencies. Within 4 hours he figured out how to add an additional number to an existing contact and therefore could call whomever he wanted. We I confronted him on this he showed me how he could also reset the phone and erase the lock code giving himself access to call anyone he wanted. I am hoping there is a software / website that I could set up an account with that will restrict him through the cellular service provider rather than through the phone.
Any recomendations would be ...

More iPhone Rumors

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/Can-ATampT-Afford-To-C ... »

Reports are suggesting that AT&T (NYSE: T - News) may be considering cutting the iPhone's monthly service plan by $10 to make the phone appeal to a wider more price-sensitive audience. Such a move would be great for consumers, but we wonder what the financial impact would be to AT&T, which already heavily subsidizes the phone?

Cote Collaborative analyst Michael Cote, an industry pricing strategist, says there is a "strong possibility" that AT&T will drop the minimum voice and data plan from $69 a month to $59 a month at Apple's World Wide Developers Conference in June, according to The Street (via MacRumors). To be sure, AT&T is likely consideri...

Slow business-Any Help

Hello everyone,

Just wanted to post because the past two months have been a bit rough. Other than contacting old customers, ATT sales, and B2B leads, has anyone any ideas as to how to push sales? I need bodies to walk through my door and was just looking for some ideas.

Please no VZW trolls or iPhone crap.

BlackBerry Curve 8900 Coming to AT&T This June

BlackBerry Curve 8900 Coming to AT&T This June

In AT&T, BlackBerry, Photos, RIM (Research in Motion), Rumors

After doing a bit of browsing this morning, it seems the latest rumor for the BlackBerry (NSDQ: RIMM) lovers in the crowd concerns the BlackBerry Curve 8900. For the AT&T (NYSE: T) customers out there, they will be pleased to know that the BlackBerry Curve 8900 will make an appearance on said network come June.

The AT&T version will be pretty much the same as the T-Mobile (NYSE: DT) version… However the AT&T BlackBerry Curve 8900 will also carry the same themes that come pre-loaded on the BlackBerry Bold. No biggie there. For the Curve users out t

Unlock Codes

Someone posted a link to download unlock codes free a while back. I've been looking for the post but can't find it. If anyone has any info for me on downloading unlock codes, free or not, it would be much appreciated.

Anyway to get out of contract for numerous dropped calls?

My wife and I switched from Sprint to ATT in December and so far have been VERY unhappy with the service. I'm in the chicagoland, where service shoudl be strong, but we both experience numerous dropped calls. Probably 1/3 calls longer than 2 minutes gets dropped. We both have different phones and I've had a couple different phones and have experienced similar dropped calls, so its not the phone.

Anything ATT will do for me? let me out of the contract? I'm very frustrated!!!!!

Anybody Have Any Luck With This(E71 Extended Battery)

http://shop.eten.hu/mugen-power-3600mah-premium-exte ... »
Don't think they have a holster/case for the bigger battery though.

Also, a good site for some apps (I like the reminder/alert app) http://www.smartphoneware.com/s60-3rd-edition -software.php
Only thing, not sure if it will work for the e71x as well...

Nice try AT&T

http://www.engadget.com/2009/04/22/leaked-atandt-doc ... »

Highlights:

Apparently dragging and dropping is a terrible thing.

GSM works in more countries than there actually are (possible Moon roaming charges?)

Pre's Wi Fi use is limited because it's not free at Starbucks.

Limited business apps (I guess the >10 years previous don't count)

Pre's plastic is bad, but the iPhone's plastic is somehow better.

QWERTY buttons are somehow bad.

On a good note, this does mean that AT&T is taking the Pre seriously. They feel threatened already, and that's a very good thing.

Thoughts on AT&T and their network

For thos of you that know Dallas / Fort Worth you will know this area well.

I have been looking in DFW for months now for my new stores and anytime I know I have calls to make in ther car I dread knowing I dont yet have my Verizon demo line.

In driving from Downtown Fort Worth to Grapevine I dropped my call 5 times! 5 times??!!?? Come on AT&T. I have a Blackberry Bold and everytime it drops I see the display dropping signal then picking up EDGE. This is the Metroplex. This is your corporate headquarters. My service actually worked great in Lubbock.

What is the worst is when I am in the car with the Verizon folks on a real estate drive and they are on the phone at the same time. I have witnessed hours of calls from them all ov...

J.D. Power survey: iPhone tops in all but battery

http://apple20.blogs.fortune.cnn.com/2009/05/01/jd-p ... »

J.D. Power survey: iPhone tops in all but battery
Apple’s (AAPL) iPhone took first place in J.D. Power’s 2009 smartphone consumer satisfaction survey released Thursday.

The iPhone ranked highest in every category except battery life, where it was tied for last place with Motorola (MOT).

Research in Motion’s (RIMM) BlackBerry, by contrast, scored highest in battery life but ran with the middle of the pack in the other categories (physical design, ease of operation, features, operating system and overall satisfaction).

The survey was conducted between July and December 2008 among 2,648 smartphone users. Apple scored 791 o...
