So is this how ATT fixes there 3G network? 😕

Is anyone else having the same experience as me lately?

I've used ATT for some time with a Q9h and $30/mo data plan on top of voice. GREAT voice quality.

Not so great lately, surf the net says 3G, voice switches to EDGE...once even went to a 'g'. 😕

Seems if I initiate the call it stays 3G, someone calls me it switches to EDGE.

Is this how ATT is freeing up their network?

Just traded in my 8310 for the 8900 and its awesome. Great upgrade for a diehard BB user.

Whoever the marketing genius at Palm is who’s releasing these phones ought to be shot, to bad Sprint. 😢
Looks like ATT will get some web OS love sometime this year. 😁

Sunnyvale, California - It's time to take a break from talking about the Palm Pre - and get excited about the Palm Eos.

Engadget has got hold of what purports to be an internal AT&T Powerpoint slide showing details of the planned new smartphone, a successor to the Centro.

According to the slide, the Eos will launch sometime in the second half of this year with a $349 price tag and a $50 mail-in rebate.

Somewhere I read they were spending 8 billion dollars on the network this year, and I can't wait. A little over two months with a Bold, dropped calls here and there (I don't mind dropping a call here and there, it's just that they drop when you least expect it) On GSM I could tell when I was going to drop a call, it'd break out a little and then a lot until the call dropped. But on 3G I could be having a normal conversation and POOF, gone.
"Talk and browse at the same time" my a$$! I've had three situations where I needed to browse, look something up etc while on the phone, but the phone will switch to EDGE and hang up on the caller, all THREE times!

So I have a few years of wireless industry experience and currently work for an AT&T authorized dealer but would like to move to a corporate store. I have filled out the online application but relying on a computer and someone in corporate HR to get you a job is a small bit ridiculous.

What is a good way to get a job in Retail corporate AT&T. Is taking my resume into the store and asking to speak with the store manager a good idea or is it wasted time?

I thought this phone would have video share. What's up with that? I thought all 3G phones had video share.
So far I love this phone!

Is anyone upset by not belin allowed to add FAn coeds at the store level now? Now they make it so annoying to add it.

Is AT&T still testing and/or developing femtocells?

Should I stay with AT&T awful 3G network. Or switch to Sprint with the better 3G network?

So I'm thinking of buying the 8900 when it comes out over the bold. Here's my reasoning.

$114 less than the bold
I'm in a wifi area 95% of the time
less dropped calls
Smaller
Better camera.

If anyone thinks I'm crazy feel free to give some input.

It has been a few months since the last I hate Walmart thread. Think it is time for a new one.

So I go by the local connection center kiosk. Not only has it expanded to 9 different phones, their update pricing is unbelieveable.

Prices are the same with an upgrade or activation.

It was filmed in Spain so don't even bother trying to see the carrier logo, plus they even say there using Wi-Fi.

Does anybody have any 1st hand experience using an 8GB microsd card in an LG Shine? If not then I guess I'll just have to send the girl a measly 1gig card.
