I'm thinking of jumping ship and getting AT&T, my wife really wants an iPhone. But I'm thinking the Nokia Surge looks like it's the type of phone I've been looking for.
For anyone that has any experience with it or with the Nokia PC suite (verizon blocks their Nokia phones from using it) can you sync outlook calendar and contacts?

Can anyone tell me when 3g is coming to the hudson valley area? Not only are we waiting for this, but apple is going on its 3rd version of an iphone,and now you'll have to wait for mms capabilities??? I dont get it..did they block mms for iphone on purpose? Everywhere i go, 25 miles north south east or west of my home i have 3g, but not in my town. I was told last march by the end of april 08, 3g will be in the hudson valley area, mainly middletown, ny..still..nothing. I even heard that 3g will be here by the end of the 1st quarter....that was april. Oh well I guess we will wait and see. I guess this version of the iphone is not in my future either.

Just ordered the Iphone 3Gs, had the 3G iphone, before I open it want some feed back on the N97. Ive read mix reviews about this phone so not sure what to think. Has anyone used them both and what are your thoughts. Plus and minus to both. In your opinion should I keep 3Gs or send it back/put it on ebay, and get the N97? Thank in advance for any helpfull input.

I am shopping for a new cell phone provider and would like to see what type of discount I can get through my employeer. However, the ATT Premier web site requires an email address from your company to determin eligibility. The problem I have is I am a defense contractor, so I have a government e-mail address instead of one from my company. is there any way to find out what type of discounts I would get without having to go to a store?

I need a non-bias answer to one one question... will ATT be carrying voice over the "3G" UMTS WCDMA component of their network?

I have had some ATT network folks tell me that voice is carried there.

I had believed that "3G" was dedicated to data transmissions alone...

If voice is to be carried on the 3G network the conventional voice gsm (tdma) technology is done with... is that correct?

Please advise.

Ok, so for 2 years now I have never been able to get service in my office. One bar at the most. So my lovely blackberry bold just sits on my desk idle for 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. When I get off at 5, all of my emails, texts, twitters, etc. come flowing in. Well, this weekend, my employers are hosting the National Governors Assoc. annual meeting and BOOM, all of sudden I have 5 bars in my office and my emails, texts, whatever are flowing in. So I talk to one of our IT people, and they inform me that ATT & Verizon upped there service in our area specifically for the NGA and on Monday when they all leave, our service will go back to non-usable. I was on my iphone 3Gs and while i was talking on the phone I got to surf the net and did my emails!!! This is new to me, sorry. But my friends who have either Verizon or Sprint. They cannot surf the web while talking on the phone... whys that?? Just curious here.

Every time I disconnect my new Bold from my computer it seems to lock up for a few moments before I can do anything with it. 😕
Also my computer only picks it up as extra drives sometimes.
And why can't I use media manager to transfer pictures? It's grayed out, I can use the one to transfer music. 😕

Just got out of my workshop sponsored by sony ericsson for the C905.

It was great. I got the phone and some pictures for proof.

Phone feels and works nice. Quick on the net, and fully capable to multi task. The camera is remarkable!

I am tired of loosing business to this handset. Guess DMDR, online, corporate owened Radio Shacks and Best Buy's can carry them.

I have 4 lines and I would like to transfer 2 of them to someone else so that they can finish the contract. How do I go about doing this? Can I port out my numbers before giving up the lines? Or will they have to remain open until the process is done. Can I even keep my numbers?

I'm currently with US cellular, but I'm moving to a new carrier that has coverage everywhere. and better phones. I looked at the verizon plans and they are pricey and you have to pay for different features and apps monthly. They dont have much of a phone selection, however i really like the BB storm. It seems like you have to pay for everything with verizon... i went to their store and the rep was nice, but the things they show me were pricey. I havent got chance to go to a AT&T store yet. I'm really interested in an iphone( applefanboy here) do you have to pay monthly on apps like verizon?? or when you buy it, its yours?? I have a Nokia 6555 and it has worked well for me for about a year.

There seems to be a software issue where the phone powers off...randomly.

Is there any way to fix/update/reinstall the software over the air, etc. to fix this type of problem?
