Need New Phone (Doesn't Everyone)
Nothing elaborate - just looking for a good phone that only needs to act like a phone. I don't care about the camera and I don't care about music (well, I love music - just don't care about it for my phone). I saw the new Motorola 766 online - but since it has no ratings or reviews I am a little leery jumping in. But that seems like the type of phone we need (texting is down on the list as well).

The Motorola 766 is a great phone. Much better then the 755. If you want a low cost phone with texting, look at the Samsung Intensity.

Thanks - but as I mentioned - texting is not important to me. How would you compare the two phones that you mentioned side-by-side?

Oh, i didn't see anything about texting...
But, out of the 2, go with the Motorola then. motorolas have the best call quallity and pick up the best service.

It is a nice phone and gets great reception. If you just want voice, it's one of the best phones for Verizon, and it is affordable.

I just REALLY like the work cellular. I dunno why. U.S. Cellular would be my carrier of choice, but they have a puny laughable network and sucky phones. So I am renaming my carrier, AT&T Cellular. Hence, the name.
I guess the term "cellular" is getting outdated now. Being a big fan of standard phones that just make calls, I love the word "cellular."

I don't know... I will say that the 8300 is probably the best Verizon phone I ever owned, but the 8350 looked and felt cheap and there was that cracked hinge problem. The 8360 did appear to be an improvement, but I'd take an 8300 or 8100 over it any day, VZNavigatorless on the 8100 wouldn't stop me. I am still trying to find my travel charger for that 8100 so that I can activate it.
