I disagree. I had a i760 for a month. If I was sent a pix message right before I went to sleep, and didn't open it, I was charged data for the 6-8 hours that I didn't open it. I spoke with VZW regarding it, and they said I should've opened it to avoid the data charge. They had no answer except I should've had purchased the unlimited data to avoid the charges. I didn't get unlimited because I have wifi@home/work. Using wifi at home didn't count for pix/flix messages because they come over evdo. Needless to say, I sold my i760 and have a Voyager now.

I believe that now with the nationwide plans that pix/flix DO use kbs and you are charged the data. (at least from what I learned in training on the new plans)

wfine81: you do know that what you showed is for regular phones and not smartphones. also on the new higher plans kb is charged for everything to do with data on phones. even mobile web is did as data kb usage. this is on the new plans. but on smartphones it is kb usage on everything, including pix/flix. some one on phone scoop said other wise, but they keep talking like the poster had a regular phone and was on old plan.

Messaging-capable phone required. Camera phone required for Picture and Video Messaging; some older models may not support video. Instant messages are charged as text messages.

If your phone is not a PDA or Smartphone, picture and video message transport will be billed as airtime per your Calling Plan. If you have a PDA or Smartphone, picture and video messaging transport will not be billed unless you are in the Extended National Enhanced Services Rate and Coverage Area; in which case picture and video messaging transport will be billed as data usage per your data plan or feature, or billed at 1.5¢ per KB ($15.36 per MB), as applicable. Picture and video messages sent using Messaging Bundles, and all text messages sent (using Messagin...
