Unlimited Picture Messaging!!!!

From Cricket's web-site:

The whole package is 5 dollars a month added on to your regular cricket bill!! This is in response to the lame guy who wrote the thread bashing cricket customers! That was so un-called for, SMH

"Unlimited pciture, text and instant messaging refer to messages sent from within your calling area. Service enhancements such as unlimited messaging are subject to Cricketร‚ยฎ Terms and Conditions of Service and plans are subject to change."

Yankee Group speculates Verizon should buy Leap or MetroPCS

Citing increased penetration into key Hispanic markets and the ability to pursue a sub-brand service offering, research firm the Yankee Group is recommending that Verizon Wireless acquire regional wireless operator Leap Wireless International Inc.
"Acquiring Leap would dramatically increase Verizon's muscle in several key areas," explained Yankee Group research director Adam Zawel. "Leap would not only increase Verizon's market penetration into certain consumer markets, but also round out Verizon's overall service offering."

Zawel added that Leap would provide Verizon Wireless a more robust offering in Oklahoma and Arkansas, where Verizon Wireless has been somewhat hampered by spectrum constraints, but where Leap "maintains a healthy le...

Can i buy a different carrier phone?

I want a Cricket phone badly, (Kyocera Koi) but the store only sells them for the retail price. I was wondering if I could buy one from ebay for a fraction of the price, but the problem with that is that all of the kyocera kois on ebay are only for Verizon Wireless. Does anybody know if I could still buy a verizon phone and still activate it under Cricket? Please respond.

Cricket Jump!

๐Ÿ˜ I went to pay my bill the other day at a payment location, and the guy told me that in mid-march, Cricket will launch a program called "Cricket Jump" which will let users send and recieve calls outside of the cricket calling area. Even make and recive calls out of state. I don't know how Cricket is going to do it because of the way that they are set up, that is all the information I have about it though. He wasn't sure about the date so don't quote me on that but be on the lookout for Cricket Jump, anybody know anything.?

T720C phone

I am kinda new here so forgive me if this is not a normal topic. I have a T720c cricket phone and I have read the specs on this phone. I should be able to send pictures and ring tones via the USB data cable I have for it. It would seem that this feature has been locked. I have the unlimited picture messaging option for my account but I can't send any to my phone. I would really like to take full advantage of the features Motorola intended for this phone. Can anyone shed some light on this problem and maybe a possible solution?

Cricket on they're way up!

Ok, I live in the Bay Area, and I want to like Metro (especially after you guys got the Nokia 6255), but what is up with your network?

My friend had you guys in the SF/Northern Peninsula area... his girlfriend was over for the everning, and he receives a text message. Its from his girlfriend. She looks at it and starts laughing and says, "OMG, I sent this to you TWO DAYS ago." Wha?

Are things going to get better with Metro, or is this just a case of 'you get what you pay for'? I currently am on Verizon and like it, but it's always nice to have good alternatives, just in case.

(btw, 'Ghetto PCS' is not my term... its what my friend now calls Metro)

In response--->

You have to remember that these carriers built there networks ...

Travel Time!

๐Ÿ˜

New From Cricket Web-Site.

"Now Your Cricket phone can really take you places. With Travel time you can use your phone outside your cricket calling area. Talk all you want arcoss the US and Canada by using funds from your flex bucket."

Cricket is on the move. YEAH!!!!!

No further details as far as coverage area or anything. Cricket resently signed an agreement with VRZ which "reportedly" will enable cricket customers to use there network, using mintues out of your flex bucket account. If I find more information I'll post it.

OK GUYS...GET REAL... YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR...

I am here because I have lurked long enough.... I have to get this off of my chest. When it comes to wireless service... YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! I used to have Cricket for a year... and you know what... I realized that it sucked and moved on to a REAL carrier. Don't get me wrong... Cricket is great for people who talk a LOT and don't travel outside of the city... but THAT's it. Sure $40 is incredible for unlimited anytime minutes, but what's the use if you get a lot of dropped calls or low signals? And... there are not many add on options outside of voice calls. There is NO DATA/WAP/Wireless web service. That means you CANNOT get free/paid ringers, games, wallpapers, appz etc.... from any 3rd parties. You are FORCED to buy them from Cricke...
