The other day I threw away a large trash can full of brochures, flyers, price plan books, posters, exc.because Sprint decided to put out new material.

I understand that we need to change out things form time to time, but most of this was unnecessary. The new price plan book had the EXACT information as the old ones, the only difference I could find was the front cover had a different picture on it.

This kind of thing happens every other month or so as some bigwig decides to change things up a bit, so it filters down to the store level.

I called other stores, and they said they had thrown away a significant amount of perfectly good plan books as well. Take that times 4500+ stores and it makes you wonder how many trees were dest...

They could at least recycle the brochures! Phonebooks get recycled. Most people don't use phonebooks these day, especially us smartphone geeks.

I happen to think this is a great program. Sprint has already been recognized for their green efforts and this takes it to another level.

As far as you throwing out old material: Paper products are recycled. So if you are using the recycling bin, you are doing your part to save the trees.

It has been ONLY three years since Dan Hesse has taken over the trainwreck that happened before his inception. He has done a remarkable job for what he had to work with.

As a consumer that has never been an employed in the wireless industry, it appears I am more dedicated to speaking highly of the company you work for than yourself.

If you want to help Dan turn the company you are employed by around, maybe you should focus more of your energ...

If he were actually an employee he would have probably at some point read the multiple emails sent out about remembering to recycle. I am an actual corporate employee and the reminders are constant, as well as recycling bins being placed all over our offices. I guess that brings up the point... Either your not really an employee of Sprint at all (maybe a dealer), or your are just unusually ignorant to company policy. I would be curios to know the answer if you care to respond w/ some relevant thought.
P.S. Even if it wasn't a corporate initiative, why would you just throw away outdated paper material instead of finding a recycling poing on your own??? You could still take initiative of your own. That paper product being "tossed" in your sto...

If I had to guess; based on the number of stores he mentioned, I would say that he works for The Shack.

are you serious about finding recycling bins for paper on our own?? you are definitely a corporate employee. no one in the real world has time to find a place to recycle the paper.

i love sprint. i have been selling it for 6 years on the dealer side. they have so much waste when it comes to the plan guides, signage etc. its silly to keep sending out additional plan guides that are the same thing. i know the 'legal department' has to make certain changes from time to time, but its really annoying.

Absolutely yes, I am serious. If it is something that upsets you (or the person making the original comment) enough to blast Sprint with such inflammatory comments, then yes. If recycling bins are not made readily available to you, and this is a topic of such concern for you that you have taken your own personal time to create or participate in a thread such as this, why not find a recycling location on your own. Also thought it important to note, dealers are not owned or operated by Sprint. If the dealer store you are employed with is not recycling outdated paper material perhaps spending a few minutes to address that with this employer would be a better use of your time.
